It is dual watch. you can set it to have two channels monitored. like ch 1 and ch 13 it will flip between those two channels. but if you use say 6, 19, 26 along with another ch it will stay on the channel with the most noise. and you would have to turn up the squelch to compensate.

I want talkback on cobra 18 WX ST

Probably to Chassis Ground. You may want to experiment with the resistor value if you use a power mic. A 100 Ohm resister may be too low a value and cause audio feedback if you do use a power mic.

Where can i get tuneup specs for Cobra 18 wx st extra low modulation

The cobra 18 wx st is the worst radio Cobra ever made. I don't know why they still make it. It's not gonna do much no matter how much you tune it up. Its a bad radio.

Get a cobra 29, and turn VR4 all the way counter clockwise.
(this will not work on the 18)

VR2 is modulation in the 18 wx st. adjust it while checking on a watt meter to see when its all the way up.

My 18 wx st II drops the channel some times, and if I hit it it will go back to the channel I am listening to.

Sounds like thc CH. Selector switch needs cleaning, or there may be a bad connection....in some cases a poor solder ( cold solder ) connection can do this also.

Cobra 18 wx st for mobile use, ned to switch reg mic for cherokee power mic. need mic diagram for the four pin

You probably don't want to hear this, but the cobra 18 wx st is just about the worst, and most hated radio ever made. Its a very poor radio.

to be very honest with you, you should get rid of that radio, or return it. Then buy a cobra 29 instead,

for proper mic wiring, please reference this page.
