Why does it say "Clean Door" during the self-cleaning procedure?

Never ever use the Self Clean feature. All it exists to do is to keep the makers in a steady stream of sales of spares. The temperature is 800 to 925'F. The parts can't handle it.

Try turning off at the breaker overnight to reset.

I have neff double oven ,only had it two weeks and the top oven which i use the most looks filthy- i have had it on self clean at least three times but the floor of oven is burnt on and looks awful. W

Self-cleaning ovens are not "squeaky clean" after the cleaning cycle has run. Any spilled food or debris in the oven before it cleans will be left behind as ashes, soot, etc. and you will need to wipe it out with a damp cloth afterwards. If the residue is black and sticky then the cleaning cycle isn't running at a high enough temperature. Please refer to the manufacturer's instructions to make sure the cleaning feature is working and being operated properly.

The self cleaning instructions for my Frigidaire Gallery Pro Series Model FEB798WCCH do not inform how long to set timer. Any instructions would be helpful as I've never operated a self cleaning oven...

Hello- The function is automatic when clean button is pushed. Oven will lock, and turn on at full power for about 90 mins. This 'feature' can, and usually does eventually burn out circuits in the control board. Techs call this the 'self-destruct' option, cheerfully promoted by the salesman. Avoid using 'self clean'!  Scrape and clean with light soap/water. Turn on to 450deg. for about 30 min. This is about half the temp. of a 900deg. 'clean' cycle and a lot less expensive in the long run. Please acknowledge this post if info is helpful- have more if needed.- Thanks- Ed

I lost the operator's manual for my Maytag electric range, model No. MERH752BAW. I need to know the procedures to use the self-cleaning oven feature.

I would not advise using the self clean feature. The extreme temps harm the electronic controls. Losing the manual might be a blessing.

Advise use of self clean feature on kenmore self clean oven 30''

If there is an up and down arrow on the control panel, you need to press the clean button first and then choose clean time with the up and down arrow. Be sure to remove the racks, if left in the oven they will be blackened by the extreme heat. Clean them separately with oven cleaner. Place them on newspaper and spray them.

Self cleaning oven instructions

you can google it or just push the clean button and it will most likely default to 3 hours and all you have to do is push start and after it is done wipe out the ashes with warm soapy water DO NOT USE OVEN CLEANER as this will destroy the finish of the self clean cavity
