Clean light flashes seven, shut power off will not reset

If it flashes seven times, then pauses then flashes seven again, it means the unit could not heat the water in the alloted time and therefore it shuts off. Could be bad heater or more likely bad heater relay on main control.

Its probably the cleaning light that comes on periodically to remind you to clean the unit. Shut off the unit AND when you do so hold down the power button for several seconds until the flashing red light shuts off. The cleaning light should stay off until the next cleaning is due.

Per the Air-O-Swiss FAQ:

Q: Cleaning light is flashing (AOS U650, AOS 7135, AOS 7142, AOS 7144, AOS 7147)
A: Switch the unit OFF and unplug it. Empty the water in the base. Rinse the base with hot/clean water. Do not submerge the base! Visually inspect the base for dirt or mineral build up. If soft water is used decalcifying the unit every 4 weeks with EZ Cal is suggested. If hard water is used the unit should be decalcified every 2 weeks. Do not forget to reset the clean light after resetting the unit.

Q: Reset cleaning light (AOS U650, AOS 7135, AOS 7142, AOS 7144, AOS 7147)
A: The cleaning light does not automatically reset. Hold down the power button (button A in instruction manual) until the light stops flashing. The light automatically comes on approximately 14 days after plugging in the unit.

On the rear panel of the router you'll find a small hole near the input/output terminals that is labeled "reset."
Use a toothpick to insert it into the hole and push it till you feel it click and hold it down until the router shuts off and the power LED begins flashing. Then release.

flashes seven times, it usually indicates a problem with the water temperature.
Go to this site for reset information, if that'll fix it.

more loose inside your tv that is a reason for your tv shut off you need to resolder the printed board

If the new lamp didn't make a difference, it is most likely your lamp ballast that needs to be replaced.

You do 2 things. See the service manual

There was a problem with the heating cycle , the seven flashes indicates the temp never reached the setting. You can try running a service cycle that will reset the control, then try running a normal cycle if it stops agin will have to find the part causing the trouble believe they actually came out with a revised heating element on this. to run service cycle press heated dry , normal, heated dry, normal within six sec then the d/w should step through a service cycle.

I tried the button sequence described by guest #1 but nothing happened.... is there anything more to it?
