If you have a protection light that is on it means the amp is in protection mode and wont allow any power to the sub this usually happens when the sub or wiring shorts out or if there is an internal failure in the amp or if its overheating. check the wires and connections and test your sub on another amp.

I got Sony Xplod XM-ZR704 700W 4/3/2-Channel Car Stereo Amplifier and 12" sub. it play good for continuous 2 hours but after that starts tripping and goes on off. i checked all wires and connections.

Amp is probably over heating. Make sure the ohm load of speaker is good for that amp. This amp is not really built to handle a bridged 2 ohm load. Make sure ground wire is clean and tight to the body chassis.

I have a stock stereo and two subs with an amp in the trunk. Also two alpine speakers in the rear. Whenever I turn my balance to the left my subs don't play. What's wrong?

Hello.... I am sorry to hear you are having problems. The reason for this is that since you have a stock stereo, the shop (or person) whom installed the amp and subs used a line out converter. What this part does is allows the connection of RCA cables to the factory head unit. Almost all bass signals are always in stereo, so since you were only hooking an amplifier for just subs, you can actually just connect to just one of the rear speakers instead of connecting to the right and left. Just makes the install a little quicker. There is nothing wrong with this as I usually do the same thing in our shop. However, if you are going to be using the balance control, then you will need to go back to the shop and have them hook the converter up in stereo (to both rear speakers). Hope this helps!

What would cause my fossgate t1500 to shut off everytime the bass hits hard I have two t12s that it pushes

Sounds like your amp isnt powerful enough to power your subs, whats the wattage of your amp and both subs? Its shutting off when hard bass hits to protect itself from blowing, a good feature as a blown amp means a new one. an amp should always be more powerful than the speakers / subs you are connecting to it. for 2 500w subs your looking at a 1200w amp minimum.

My kicker 10'' L7 sub works when the volume is low, when the volume is turned up the sub. stops working. Why?

Check wires that go into the speaker.Try turning the bass down than turn the volume up.If it sounds good when volumes down and as you turn it up it gets worse your amp isnt putting out enough power.whats the amp? power wire gauge should be same as ground.what gauge are they? Check ground to make shure you are getting a good connection & power wire isn't loose at any of the connection what size fuse are you running under the hood?

Troubleshooting amp setup

You probably need your remote wire re-hooked and make sure the ground wire is good and the remote wire is connected to the right wire(the red wire).

LED power protection light not turning on

Check the fuse on the amplifier; if it's good, then you need a multimeter or voltmeter for further testing. With the meter's black probe on your amp's ground terminal and the radio turned on, both the power and the remote terminals should test at about 12 volts. If neither terminal shows voltage, you may have a problem with your ground connection; if both do, there's a problem with the amp.
