This is what you should do;

Press Alt+ F10 at the first Acer Screen you see when you power the unit on. or when you are in windows it is accessed through Start> Acer Empowering Technology Folder>Acer Erecovery Manager. it will prompt you to create a password after that click Restore at the bottom and choose Restore to Factory Default and confirm by clicking OK.

make sure the unit stays plugged in the entire time it will run about 15-20 minutes and show you a Copying From Partition screen and a loading bar while it processes.

Please note that this will overwrite C:

I am getting "system error"

Maybe its because of virus attack, install virus software or reset your phone, try soft reset first, but if its fail do a hard reset to your phone. It will erase all of your installed software but restore phone system back to factory setting, including restore system error caused by virus attack.

Hope this help.

Virus has attacked my computer, and i want remove it but some one said i have to restore it first, and then i will get an anti virus software. is this true?

Not true unless your manufacturer provides this free with your product pre-loaded. Or gave you a disc to install the software. Often times it is not a virus that has infected your computer it can also be spam-ware or add-ware. There are some free programs to check this out to remove the issue you are having. They are halfway correct it is easier to just reinstall the original CD to restore your computer this will get rid of whatever has attacked your computer.
You will start fresh and new again. I use a free product from Microsoft that is called Microsoft Security Essentials. It has been working great on my computers. You can download it here. You might want to try this and see if the software picks up the issue and fixes it for you. You have to pass Genuine Activation which you already most likely have. I highly recommend this I hope this assisted you. John

My computer wa attacked and i want to reformat or removed the virus, how

If you have the recovery disk or recovery partition, you can restore it to the factory original state. This will delete any programs or setting on your system.

If the CD works, try downloading on another computer
http://www.ubcd4win.com/

It will allow you to scan for viruses without booting windows from your hard disk.

I don't get paid for advice so if this answers your problem, I would appreciate 4 thumbs.

System has been attacked by viruses. Antivirus not working any more

Try to 'restore' to an earlier time, or to 'recover' to factory settings to delete those viruses.

Can't connect to the internet, after a virus attack . Tried to open System Restore, but Can't...tried to open System Information, and Command Prompt, and can't.

Try to run a virus scan if you can with norton or whatever other program you have with the latest updates.

This should find the viruses and remove them as long as they aren't real bad then things should be okay.

If you can't get anything to run then at that point you'll need to wipe out the drive and restore your computer back to factory defaults.

If you need further help just let me know.

When powering up it will go to the windows xp screen

HI. This will happen if the core system file bank has been compromised by a virus or malicious software. I suspect the virus has wiped out all restore points and has completely disabled all safe mode access points as well..Unfortunately, you will lose all your saved information that you have stored on the partitioned hard drive due to this attack. The only way to fully restore this system to its factory settings would be to locate a recovery disk that should have been shipped along with this unit. Use this disk to restore the core system files and the main operating system as well. If you don't have the recovery disk that was sent with your unit, a Windows XP disk will preform the same action and, will restore this unit to factory specs as well, minus the software pack. There is a possible way to restore this system and keep the hard drive as is but, this can only be attempted by using the original recovery disk that was sent with the unit and, its not always successful. I recommend totally re formatting the drive to clear it of all data. this will assure that the virus and all of its contents are removed.

Please rate and god bless.

Dell inspirion 6000 is in a continuous reboot mode and even if you go to the safe mode. Please help!

Hi there, the only way to defeat the virus that has attacked your pc is to totally restore your operating system. you will not be able to use the system restore because of the virus that is destroying your hard drive. i recommend a restoration disk or a new copy of the operation system disk. windows/vista. just insert the windows disk and close the slot. shut down for 5 min then, restart. the restoration will began.
