How do I remove the closed caption on a Hisense tV

SOURCE: toshiba 62hx94 cant shut off closed caption have comcast cable

The problem was with the Motorfolla Comcast cable box not my T.V. . I turned off my Comcast cable box, pressed menu on the remote to the cable box. This made a 16:9 ratio appear on the cable box's LED read out, and a bluish screen appear on my television. One of the options on my television was to turn on and off closed captioning. Therfore, I turned off closed captioning and the problem was solved.

SOURCE: closed caption and black square

your TV do not disable close caption in composite mode. It may in component mode. Please make sure that the close caption in your TV menu is not set to "text"
Please be advice that CC :Text is the ONLY one that can give you a black box.

You may need to goto settings>caption to turn off the caption. What's model of TV?

How to turn off CC on hisense tv
It might be your Dish remote. There are red, green, yellow, and blue buttons right above the middle of the dish remote. Try pushing the green one. It should let you toggle between cc on or off.

On certain channels the TV has a blackscreen come upwith letters across it???
This is probably the text box function of the closed captioning decoder. Look for the closed caption button on your remote and turn it off. It might be labeled "cc" or "ccd". In some cases you may have to go into the menu to turn it off.

yes me too I have problem , TV is Hisense 40" LCD , close-caption only work in A/V or S-Video, instead of comp and hdmi , why? I disappointment that I put it back to A/V because I am deaf .

Closed captioning
I had the same problem. My DVD player was connected to my HD TV via a HDMI cable as was recommended by the DVD owner's manual. I removed the HDMI cable and attached the three video component cables. Bingo, closed caption crossed immediately.

Closed Captioned
Assuming whatever your TV receiving from has close caption. (Not all TV channel has close caption) Solution 1) Get a new universal remote that support your model and has close caption button. Once you program in the code for your TV model and it works then all button should also programmed including th close caption button. Solution 2) Search online for the owner manual and read see how to turn it on using buttons on TV (if possible). Solution 3) Get new TV with close caption. (If you have an old old TV with bad and huge pixels then this solution is the best. Your eyes will thank you.)
