Hello I have a Zanussi FJDR 1466 Washing Machine. The emergency emptying hose had come loose, so I laid machine gently on it's side and replaced hose no problem. Once I righted machine and tried a new cycle but door lock light was on and door locked. I turned off power and waited for door to open. With power turned on and door open the lock turns itself on and off and cycle will not start. I've got top off and played with lock. Nothing electrical looks damaged and all wires look in place, however I cannot see inside the PCB. Can you help my door from locking itself before cycle can start?

My Zanussi has an outlet filter that is accessible by a little door at the front. It gets clogged if not cleaned for a month or two. Then the machine can't drain and the door won't open. Removing and cleaning the filter should correct the problem. You'll need some sort of container to catch the water that will pour out after you remove the filter.

The error message "Err" usually indicates that the wash program and option are not compatible. 40 degrees and 900 rpm Spin should be o.k.. I would try another wash program with no special options and see if the problem goes away.

I have taken out the filter and washed it thoroughly! Also flushed the out pipe to make sure the whole system was clean. This resolved the problem

Can you skip through the programme to drain? Press pause button. then press start to move the lights down to the empty cycle. leave to finish.

If you have already tried this, I can explain how to put machine into engineer test mode, which will then give out a fault code to identify problem.
