The latch should be able to be unscrewed and flipped

firstly make sure that it is the latch activator that is faulty. There is a flat spring on the hinge of the cover that pushes it open when activated and it breaks of on a regular basis . When it does the door unlatches but when you let the actuator go , because the door has not opened it re-latches itself making you think that the mechanism is not working

Suspect the door latch has loosened enough to allow water spray to get into the latch cavity. Look for worn parts or loose adjustable components in the latch area (both door and case sides). Hope this helps!

well it could be the latch or the latch peg on the door frame is missplaced i had the same problem with my 1991 dodge d100 i took the doors off my '75 dodge and the pegs where too small so i changed them and it wouldent latch because they where too far back so i moved them up and it latches now

Before you go about changing the latch, make sure that the latch is fully open. This can be done by pulling the latch teeth inward towards the drivers seat with a screwdriver, while releasing the door opener handle at the same time. Often these large heavier doors become out of alignment at the hinge side causing the latch to close prematurely. If you are able to accomplish this task, lubricate the entire latch with white spray lithium grease. Keep in mind that the latch has two settings. take a look at the latches, make sure they are grease good and all working,sometimes one of the latches freezes up, so the door is not completely latched,also you can adjust the striker to lock tighter,this is located on the body, at the top and bottom of the left side door,take a look and see if all latches are latching, use a screw driver to push them locked and see if latec will stay latched in the lock postion. good luck.

Change the temperature of the air and see if the temperature changes. If it doesn't change, then you probably have a bad blend door.

yes if its plastic just pop it out to replace

brand new and you changed the latch mech.? door latch or lock asm.? DU is door unlock error, it tried to unlock and cant. usually replace lock asm (inside machine) for this problem. may have latch out of alignment.
