We have a 03 Passat GLX 4Motion, we have replaced spark plugs with NGK V Power Resistor, replaced spark plug wires with BWD Wire Set, and replace the coil with an after market don't remember the brand. We are still getting 7 codes P0300, P0301, P0302, P0304, P0306, P0351, and P0352. We are wondering if we should replace the coil with a OEM part. This all started about a year ago, we are so frustrated with it!

P0301 p0302 p0304 p0306 these are all misfire codes im gonna put his in simple words for you is the vehicle running good if it is have the codes removed there stored in the computers memory a parts store has a ob2 scan gun they can erase codes have you tried to have them erased now if the light comes right back see what codes its reading now i looked up all the codes there all refering to the work that was done on your car im not saying the work was done wrong but unless you reset the codes now if they come back the p0351 and p0352 has to do with the ignition coil but i promise you this if your car isnt missing with all theses codes then all that has to be done is erase codes get back with me tell me how it turns out some parts are not compatable with foreign cars

Thanks but we already have a reader and have erased the codes, and they came back. Our car is still misfiring so we are going to try replacing the ignition coil again with a OEM part instead of a replacement part. We have been running into issues with the replacement parts not working with our car and we have decided to only buy parts made by companies like bosch and NKG.

There has been a coil recall for VW Passat 01 02 and some 03 models. Please ask your dealer if you are qualified. If you have receipts of any coils you replaced yourself, you will get a refund from VW.

Oil in my plug tubes

Oil may have soaked into the coils to the point where they will continue to misfire. You can try them after doing the valve cover gasket sections to repair the oil seepage problem. If you still have a misfire you probably will have to replace the coils.

Red max eb7001 has new coil, gapped right still no spark. im going crazy

1) The primary circuit: is battery, cap, resistor, capacitor, switch ignition+secondary circuit spark plug, distributor, high tension wires+spark plug.
the mayor problem arise in the coil and distributor, And the most common problem INCORRECT Choice de spark plugs or improperly gapped.
Rememeber the coil send 20,000-30,000 Vdc for spark plug.
Test with a screwdriver , pull out the center wire from the distributor cap and hold 3/8inch from a good ground. Crack the engine, if there no spark, or the spark is weak, the coil is defective or the high tension wires.
2) Bypass by a moment the baas resistor with a jumper wire while cranking engine If the engine starts, replace the ballast resistor.

God bless you.

Spark plugs and coil connectors remove replace

You mean to change the spark plugs and spark plug wires?
the plugs come pre gapped, NGK is the recommended brand for japanese cars.
Remove and replace une plug and wire at a time, that way you dont get mixed up, make sure wires are plugged back in properly.

Good luck.

Shop claims my heater core is plugged and needs to be replaced. 2003 VW Passat GLX 4Motion, V6. Any other options

Probably not. It really depends on the situation and what is going on. If you are not getting any heat it could be the heater core or it could be as simple as a thermostat.

2000 passat ATQ, normally aspirated. Misfire #5. new coil pack, plugs, plug wires, good spark to #5 plug(visually checked) but still misfire #5 and no power during acceleration. What next? Thanks

Swap #5 injector with another one and see if the miss moves .
If the miss moves then the injector is faulty.
If the miss doesn't move do a compression test and get back to me .
Cheers

Nology hot wires and Nology silver spark plugs

It is not possible to use Nologi non resistor silver spark plugs together with Nologi Hot wires on my Tiburon 2003. I guess it goes for all Tiburon from 2002 to 2006 with the 1,6 liter DOHC Alpha Engine. But I am still working on it and if I get anything to solve this problem I will be back to tell.
