if you sent Skype messages less than 1 hour ago, just right click on a message and select "remove" menu item.
If messages are older you need a special tool like "Delete Skype History Network Edition. The program deletes messages not only on your computer and mobiles but your partners' devices as well. Delete Skype messages on all devices
You cannot delete or edit any chat message sent, even if it has NOT been delivered yet after 1 hour from the time the chat message was created, the only exception to this is if the message is for/sent to/trying to be sent to a multi-chat ("A chat that has more than 2 people in it") and you are the creator of that multi-chat.
Once the message has been sent, you cannot change it. However, if you have not sent the message, simply using your cursor or delete key will allow you to edit the message.
Try using a different skype link. Use the Skype for business instead. http://www.skype.com/intl/en/business/download/
This will help bypass some of those certificates and not install all the extras.
please check your camera configuration, is it working fine?, also go to skype--tools--options---video settings and check if skype can access your camera, if not try to reinstall it
