I have the TA-927 speaker system, and for some reason when I plug it in it doesn't work. I have power, and the light on the volume control lights up, but no sound comes out. If the entire thing cant be fixed, is there any way i can repair the sub at least?

NAD M3 power light turns red immediately and PROTECT message displays. Amp keeps functioning but volume control doesn't work up or down.

Hello
Check the connection to speaker with this amp, for any short or any other fault. disconnect the outputs, ie, speakers from the amp, and switch it On, and see the protect display comes or not. If it comes, the fault is internal and the set need service.
Your M3 dual Mono integrated amp, is of high output power and its outputs are protected against any overload or short circuit. If the system detect any among this condition specified above, it will show protect mode display.
Never load this amp, as protection display is there, as it may damage the speaker or its internal power amplifier section circuits, may cause more money to get it repaired. OK.

Dav-dx250 volume is very low with maximum volume

How does it sound when you calibrate the speakers (page 75)? THAT is how the basic hardware is verified. Anything that doesn't work after that is usually a setup or source issue. Read the manual.

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Sony-DAV-DX250-Home-Theater-Systems-manual/id/750dj491/t/2/

Turn the volume control to something medium.

The errant switch, control or condition may change and you will suddenly release the amp's full power and possibly destroying your speakers. If a signal isn't audible at 1/2 volume it's probably not there.

Carefully examine the front panel for clues like a misplaced Source Selection, Mute, Tape Monitor control or Multichannel Analog Input selected.

There is a good chance that a common control may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead' spot through defect or idleness and is causing your symptom. Turn the POWER OFF and operate every control throughout its range a number of times, especially rarely-used ones like Tape Monitors and the Mute control.

Turn the volume to something reasonable and see if that helped.

My logitech x240 surround powers on but no sound comes out....what could be the problem??

If you have an extra headset around, plug it into the same place the speakers are plugged into, if it works, your speakers are bad (or check to make sure the power light is on on them and that their volume knob is turned up).
If you still do not get sound, click on your little volume/speaker icon by your clock, then click 'mixer' at the bottom of it (Windows 7 hopefully?). Make sure the different volume controls are turned up because sometimes one low one will affect the entire system.
(If Windows XP, right-click the speaker, then 'Open Volume Control'. Adjust until you hear sound.)

I cant install them?

The CA-2016 desktop 2-piece system it is a USB powered amplifier that draws the power through a USB cable. No batteries or AC power source/wires are required which leaves the desk top clean. The speaker system is magnetically shielded and has a LED power indicator. This being said setup the speakers plug in the USB cable, notice if the LED power indictor light is on. Adjust volume control on speakers and on your computer ( make sure your not muted ). PC's have a lot of different media players that can and will effect the volume control so if one or more of those items are adjusted to low volume or muted, there will be little to no output to your speakers.

No sound

Try plugging in earphones to see if the problem is the speakers or the output from your computer. Also, your computer output may be low power output for powered speakers and your speakers are not compatable. You may also be plugged in to the wrong output on your computer.

Control Pod for Companion 5 volume control non-functional

I had exact same problem today. I moved my speakers from one room to the next. When I plugged everything back, the mute/unmute worked but the volume control no longer worked.

I got it working now!! I powered down my computer and then unplugged the power to the speaker system. Then plugged in the power to the speaker system again. Powered on computer and all is good again!!

Hope this helps/
