You don't need to open it to replace the blade. You pull the blade all the way out and you will see that it is hooked to a spring. All you have to do is unhook the old blade and connect the new one and slowly let it wind back in. Remember to hang on tight to the spring so it doesn't snap back in before you get the new blade connected. If you do need to take it apart, there should be screws holding it together.

Tip of my Stanley PowerLock 25' broke off. Is it repairable? Yes the tape slid back into the housing.

You can put it back on but depending on how it broke and how you reattach the measurement will be off a tad.

How do you put blades in stanley fat max extreme razor knife

Not sure exactly because I don't own one, but the review seems to indicate you push the blade positioner all the way forward, and push a release to remove the old one out the front, and then push a new own in until it clicks in place. With the blade positioner all the way forward.
But the review said it did not work well.

How do i change the blade on the stanley 20-115 hacksaw?

The 20-115 uses a quick release lever at the front of the saw. Opening the level by hand with a forward motion will unlock the blade tension allowing you to replace the blade. Pull the level closed to restore tension to the new blade.

WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE STANLEY SWIVEL LOCK UTILITY KNIFE AND REMOVE DULL BLADE. NOW i CAN'T GET THE NEW BLADE IN AND CLOSE THE KNIFE PROPERLY, WHAT'S THE TRICK?

If you use the wrong brand of blades, they won't let the knife shut all the way. The notch is cut slightly differently. The same is true for the Kobalt knife I just bought at Lowes. Get the Stanley blades that are right next to the knives - they are the only ones that work.

Sorry.

If you bought the Stanley blades, then I don't know what the problem is. Sorry for that too.

Install tape

Pull it all the way out ... have a nail ready to put into the hole just past the end on the tape, in the spring. Remove the tape. Install the new one (insert the tang into the hole and twist). Remove the nail and carefully allow the spring to pull the new tape in.

I hope this works for you

I have a Stanley 12 ft. Powerlock tape model # 33-212. The plastic thumb locking trigger just broke. Can I purchase a new one and if so where?

No. You'll have to replace the tape measure, or find another similar model to rob the part from...See here and here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
