Blackberry Curve 8310

I cannot remove the "missed call" icon in the top right portion of my Blackberry. The "icon" shows two (2) missed calls yet I have done everything I know to try to remove / clear the icon. I deleted every call, past and present, yet the icon doesn't go away.

I hope you can help.

Thank you!

The site referred to me was perfect and had numerous references to the problem I have on my 8310... the sad part was how those who had the problem corrected the problem... backing up the phone and reloading the software... Thank you for all your help.

Permanently remove aim and yahoo off of my blackberry curve 8330

Before I got my BlackBerry Bold I was a BlackBerry Curve user. I had a T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8320. The 8320 has Wi-Fi and supports Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA). The other Curve models were 8300, and 8310. The 8310 has GPS but no Wi-Fi. The 8300 has neither GPS nor Wi-Fi. I chose the 8320 so I could make use of the free calling on UMA.
The original Curve is a great BlackBerry. It fits in your hand well, it is light, the keyboard is great, and the screen is beautiful. When you made the choice on which Curve to buy however, you had to decide whether you wanted Wi-Fi or GPS. Wi-Fi allows for UMA (translation free calling) and super fast Wi-Fi browsing if you associate with a HotSpot. GPS allows for location based services (LBS). Sometimes it became a tough choice because after all, wouldn't we all rather have it all?
Well when RIM sent me the new BlackBerry Curve 8900 to review I was excited. This new Curve doesn't make you have to choose. On top of that, it is a jump forward in technology and features that are very welcomed indeed.

Missing "profiles" icon on my BB 8310 curve

In the main screen, before you enter the menu, if you scroll the joystick to the up, you reach the upper profile icon. But to get your old icon back, maybe it's been hidden and you only need to go to your main menu, press the menu button again, and you should see the "Show All" option, if it's selected you can unselect it then you can go back to main menu and you'll see the hidden icons in grey color. When you come over the hidden icons and press menu button, you can select to hide or show them. And when you do the "Show All" steps again and select it again, this time you'll hide your icons selected as hidden.

No message icon on the home screen.

You can try this: While you are in the main menu, click the menu button (at the right of the green call button), and select the "Show All" (can be different according to your phone language), after you do that, your messages, and other hidden icons should be seen as gray icons. Now you can unhide the icons you want, then you can unselect the "Show All" option again.

I cannot recieve incoming txt messages or email for my blackberry

Hi,

Do you recieve incoming/out going calls?

There should be either 'gprs' or " GPRS" or "3g" icon where the signal bars are in the top right hand corner. What do you see?

There could be few possibilities, but first we need to check you have the device correctly configured.

Let me know,

Thanks.
