Try cleaning the print heads. Or replace the two colors it's asking for magenta and cyan.

Printhead problem

Most likely your right but you can use the diagnostic test tool which is free from HP. This is the second one I have had and the first one was the print head burned out, however the guy was using after market ink and thats what caused it to short out the head. heres the site thats for free.

My out of warranty l7680 will not print or photocopy in colour. Printhead status says Refilled supply Detected in printhead Black No/Yellow Yes Magenta Yes/Cyan Yes Detected in Printer Black No/Yellow Yes...

The error states that you are using non-HP cartridges for all colours. If black prints fine then you should replace the colour cartridges with genuine HP colour carts. You should be able to get a refund on the refills since they clearly do not work as intended.

Printhead Problem:

Have you tried to replace the black/yellow printhead? This is not the same as the ink cartridges, but it is located in the compartment under and to the right of the scanner lid.
Here is HP's link.

Hi

Before you change the printheads check if the backing plate where the printheads contact plates sits is cleaned and inside printer where it makes contact. Otherwise you will need to replace the MC printhead

Says printhead prblem,

Most generic inks will not work in this machine, If you are using genuine HP ink, you have gotten a bad printhead, if you are using generic ink you may have just ruined a new printhead.

My HP Officejet Pro L7780 All-In-One InkJet Printer was jammed with paper. I believe I got it all out and now the display reads" Printhead problem- the following printhead has a problem: magenta/cyan...

There are two possibilities here Joanne, first, it could be a false error message or else second, the Cyan/Magenta print head has gone bad.Try the following:
1. Take the Cyan/Magenta printhead out. Remember, the printhead...not the cartridges.
Clean the copper contacts with a Q Tip, moistened with plain water. Wait till it dries, put the printhead back in.
2. If this does not resolve the issue, unplug the power cord from the back and press and hold the power cord for 30 sec. This will drain all the static charges. Plug it back after a couple of minutes and see if the error message re appears.
