How to disassemble a Epson RX430? Have tried it for hours. The reason that i wanted to take it apart is to check if there are any bits of paper stuck inside as i keep on getting the paper jam error even if i didn't put any paper in. Strangely draft mode works but not any other modes. Any help appreciated.

Remove all paper and toner. remove paper tray any other loose items. Use a shop vac as a blower and try to dislodge any loose bits of paper. What is more likely is that a small plastic arm that senses for a paper jam has been dislodged.

Samsuing SCX 4200
would not give up [Paper jam 2 - Check Inside] alarm
no jam, nothing broken, turning off etc. no help

Finally put a sheet in halfway through the manual feed slot
- had door open doing it so I could make sure sheet went far enough so that the little two-pronged black flag right at front of the paper feed opening was kept pushed down by the sheet.
Then used Copy to copy the sheet - this got rid of the false alarm. Prints ok again.

SOURCE: Brother MFC-9420CN Paper Jam Error message w/ loud grinding noiz

please try this

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Our church has a Minolta DiAlta copier. It's useless right now because whenever you try and make a copy, the paper gets jammed just before it exits the machine. That is, there are two rollers that pinch...

Hello,
as I can tell from your description your impresion is that the fuser rollers do not rotate, but if the paper came out once it is clear that they do rotate.
If you whant to disassemble it you first must check the separation fingers, most likely one or tow separation fingers are out of their sokets or are worn out.
I belive that is the couse of you problem.
Let me know about you progress.

How long does it take to take the transmission apart. Not fixed just take it apart. I had a nissan maxima 2004 5 speed taken the transmission apart and they shop wanted to charge me $800. Is this right...

It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours, 3 or 4 at the most, to disassemble the transmission. Sounds a bit expensive for just taking it apart. I would check some other places.

Printer is ripping paper, and getting jammed

Most likely you have something on the roller or jamming it. I have disassembled printers to find paper, paper clips, and other things helping to jam the paper roller. Try to clear the obstruction by checking around the roller anyway you can. As I said, sometimes you have to take the printer apart to get to the problem. Sometimes it's a bad gear, so it can get a bit tricky. It's your call- you might try to unjam it, and if that fails, replace it- they're pretty reasonable these days, anyway. Good luck!

Printing problem - you cannot see the ink on the printed papers

The ink is not flowing from the cartridges to the paper. The reasons for this can be numerous, so we must tackle it step-by-step, which will require a bit of interaction between us.

Have you tried a cleaning cycle? If not, try one (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select head clean). Now run a nozzle check (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select nozzle check). Is there any sign of ink on the paper. Try up to three cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles (this will waste ink). Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print. If these actions produce no positive results, report back with a new comment.
