Krups FME2 will not flow water.

The coffee maker will power on but will not flow water. The duo filter was removed and still no water flow. Several attempts were made after changing water, rinsing filter and removing filter with no success.

What is the procedure for "unsticking" the one-way valve? We have the water hot but will not come thru to make the coffee.

    Thanks

Hi,
Does it sound like it is boiling water at all?

If it is boiling, but not giving hot water, then the one-way valve is stuck.
If it is not getting hot (on the soleplate base) then usually the element has blown.

These machines use the steam generated by boiling as a means to move the water up - like a geyser, and need the heat to move the water.

Replacement elements are available, and the valves usually just require cleaning.

How do i clean my stainless steel krups coffee maker before use model kt 611d50

Just run one full pot of cold water through it. Do not add coffee. Then it is ready for use. Caution - Do not make coffee right away because you can break the glass carafe by adding cold water to a hot carafe. Also the hot plate would be very hot too.

I have a Krups FME2 coffee machine and when I fill it up with water, the screen shows that the water reservoir is empty? What the heck?

If there is a water level float in the tank it may be no longer floating, if you can shove a piece of plastic under it to lift it up that should trigger it to think it now has water.
