My Sony SLV-D370P indicates a region code problem with DVDs created on my computer. Other players read these OK and the Sony reads DVDs created by the same software on another computer. Most DVD players are region-locked, meaning they will only play disks encoded in the location they are from, or disks without region-specific encoding. For example, if I bought a DVD player in Europe and tried to play a disc from the United States, it would not play. Unfortunately, in order to get past the "area limitations" you will either have to buy a DVD encoded in the same format as your DVD player, or set the player to a different region code (which often will lock the player after a certain number of times).
Hello If a disc has been put in the slot of the disc in play, Remove the disc, whose number is displayed, and press stop button. Because of light or noise, the changer has detected a disc in the lot of the disc being played, even though it is empty. Check whether there is a disc in the displayed slot. With front panel closed, hold down "STOP " button for atl least four seconds or more.
Sounds like it's the wrong region disc. Try a disc that worked before and if it does than there is nothing wrong with your dvd player it is the disc you are trying to play that has the issue.
The region code of your stand alone player is different from the region code on the disk. To resolve this Pinnacle should have an info tool that will allow you to check the region code. If not Nero has this tool available with thier software. You should be able to download it @www.download.com. Also most newer DVD players only read specific data types. For instance, you cant use DVD-RW in a player that only reads DVD-R. So make sure you are using disks that are compatible with your DVD player.
it means the format of the type of cd u put in cannot be played by the system.
try playing the disc it on another player, if it does the same, it means the disc cannot be played. some players dont play mp3 format, blu ray, and some others, so you can check the kind of disc you want to play on it.
remove cover of dvd player, than use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol and clean the lens. if it still doesn't work than I would suggest buying a new one. you can get a decent player for just $30 new
Check to make sure your player can play other disks. If so then use the disk doctor to remove the scratches on your favorite disk. The area that all DVD players scan before playing a disk is probably smudged or scratched.
If these disks have not been finialized then they will not play on the dvd player. Turn your computer on and see if they will play. If they will then you will need to the dvd palyer finialize them. I hope this helps you. If not get back to me and then we can try a different way.
Same here! It would say something along the lines of "this type of disc cannot be played. please insert a different disc." it's the appropriate dvd region, i've tried all types of dvds, and it still won't work. the vhs and cd still works, it's just the dvd player that won't.
Sorry, no suggestion other than don't buy Samsung. That's my conclusion after owning the same model. It worked fine for a while, but now won't load any DVD... usually. Sometimes it will play one, but more often it won't. Mine tries to load ("Loading") for a long time, I hear the DVD spinning, then ultimately the screen displays "This disc cannot be played" or something to that effect.
