How to get wii points for free? - Nintendo Wii Console

I am unsure what you mean by free but for DS and Wii only Credit Cards can be used for direct purchase of points now.

While you cannot acquire Wii Points for free, you CAN buy them in the form of a card from your local game store, or purchase them from the Wii Shop Channel with a credit card.

Turn on your Wii.

3Select Wii Options, which is located on the bottom left of the screen. This is the button with the Wii logo.

4Select Wii Settings.

5Click forward to the second menu screen using the blue arrow to the right.

6Select Internet.

7Select Connection Settings.

8Choose an open connection, indicated by the word: "none".

9Choose a wireless connection.

10Determine the best option for you: Manual configuration or Search for an Access Point.

11On Search for an Access Point, your Wii will search for a wireless network to connect to and will display a list of available networks. Networks identified with a closed padlock require authentication to join.

12Select your network.

• If your connection signal appears yellow or red, the stability or strength of the connection is not strong enough for the Wii's Internet needs. If possible, remove any obstacles between the Wii console and the Access Point or change the channel on your router to avoid interference.
• If your wireless access point does not show up when you choose, Search for An Access Point, your router may have Broadcasting set to "No" or "Disable." Some routers also refer to this security as "Stealth" mode. You can either change your broadcast setting to "Yes" or "Enable," or you can manually enter the SSID in the manual setup screen of your Wii console.

13Select Save and OK.

14Select OK on the next screen and the Wii will preform an automatic connection test.

15Wait for the Wii to connect and download any needed updates.

Browsing the Internet

1. 1Go to the Wii shop channel and download the Internet Channel. This channel is free.
2. 2Select the Internet channel from the block on the main screen and follow the instructions to browse the Internet. Feel free to go on any site you want, like Facebook or Twitter. (or maybe even this website!)

To put the Wii points on your Wii, just go to the Wii shop channel. They should have an area where you can type in the code that's on the card. Well, from the Wii menu click on the "Wii Shop Channal" and wait for it to load. When it doe's, click on the blue bar on the bottom of the screen to access free Wii channals, and classic games from the Nintendo 64, NES, SNES, and differant old consoles and WiiWare products. Its that EASY!!!!!!!!

P.S ~ All classic games and WiiWare titles ARE NOT FREE, The Prices range from 500 - 1000 WiiPoints. Points Can be bought though a credit or debit card, for 1000 points for ten dollars, 2000 points for twenty dollars, 3000 points for therty dollars, and 5000 points for fifty dollars. Point cards are also avalable for purchase at any GameStop or EB-Games store. Cards are only avalable in 2000 point amounts.
