Our washer fills and agitates, but then shuts off and won't drain or spin. You can hear the timer going but nothing happens, then the timer shuts off. Please advise; we'd like to fix this ourselves if possible.
Open and close lid, listen for 'clicking' sound. If no 'clicking' sound, this indicates a lid switch problem.
The lid switch on your machine, based upon the model number you provided, is hidden under the right side of the cabinet and is activated by the right lid hinge.
The first thing to check are the screws on the right lid hinge, if they come loose, (as they usually do) the switch will not activate properly. If this does not resolve the issue, proceed as follows:
1. Lift the console. Look in the back of the console, in each corner there will be a screw, unscrew until the console can be pushed forward.
2. You will find a lid switch connector (white in color). Unplug the switch from the connector.
3. There will be two brass colored clips. Place a flat blade screwdriver straight down into the opening on top of the washer and into the groove of the clip. Push the screwdriver down and away from you and the clip will release.
4. Open the lid of the washer and place your hand under the front rim of the opening (DO NOT grab the wash tub). Tilt and slide cabinet forward to remove.
Inspect the switch for proper operation by moving the lever. Also check the lid hinge lever to insure proper pressure to the switch, bend if necessary.

Sounds like the fill switch needs to be replaced. A good way to test it is to set your machine on low fill and see if it fills past 3/4. If it does, it's the fill switch.

Sounds as if your lid switch is open. You can by pas it under the control panel on the right in the back it is a the wire plug. Connect the black and brown on the switch side which will allow you to just plug a new one when or if you deciced you needed this "safety" feature. Do not put any part of your body in machine while spinning. Your welcome, Masta tech.

Possible fault with the program controller unit. You need to check the program cycle outputs using a multimeter connected to measure the output voltage. On start the inlet should open and then close as the water level sensors works and then proceed to wash. So this much seems OK. Now in the next step the drain valve must open to drain off, then fill once again with the inlet working and water level being sensed. If there is no output in this section cycle then the prrogram controller has errors within the memory . You can remove the panel and reset all connectors and connections.
Hi
If the cycle won't complete then either it's a problem with the timer or a cold-water supply problem:-
If your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water.
