I am using nokia 1600 mobile with an airtel connection suddenlly sms sending stopped and i have checked all thing message center no and all but its not helpfull att all and thhe sim working in other handset to sending sms so help me out from this problem?

please try to go to messaging>options>settings>text message
1) make sure you have a defined message center for your present sim network 2) check preferred connection, must be gsm/3g
for item 1, the message center should contain a number : country code+your mobile network prefix

Check the "message center number" it should start with +91....and varies according to sim provider. If someon is using same network copy the number and enter it .It will done

To access this service you must have some setting on your mobile, which connects you to Airtel server for Internet and provides a authentication. To get the setting directly to your mobile just SMS "MO" (Withot Quotes) to 2567 [Toll Free]. Within few Minutes [or sometimes Hours] you will get those setting to your mobile.

please insert another airtel sim in to your phone then find what is the center no that will appear (for ex+947500003) type it as center no in your sim

Hi , The problem is u might have changed the message center number accidentally. U can call your service provider customer care and ask for the Message center number . Then u can change the number in message settings . . I will give u the steps

• Goto menu -->messaging --> message setings -->text messages --> message centres
• Select SMS center 1
• Replace the old number with the new

it is due to the wrong message center no.message-settings-general-change msg no-type the right no.(it will give u by service provider)

There is no problem with you mobile phone, if you are unable to send the sms this means there is a problem with the service provider, I request you to contact your service provider (Airtel,idea,tata), they will provide you the settings and a sms center number to feed in your phone to send the sms.
