Well basically what you do is
1.) connect your memory card reader
2.) install the necessary drivers
3.) insert the memory card and it should show up as a removable disk in my computer similar to that of a pen)flash) drive

If the card reader is built into the computer then simply ensure the necessary drivers are installed (right click computer and select properties, then click device manager , it will show up in the list, if it has a yellow maker then it has a problem if its a question mark then it aint installed) if you dont have the drivers get them from the manufactures web page. IF everything checks out ok then put in the memory card and it will show up as a removable disk in my computer..

If you dont have a memory card reader or dont have the card reader built in then you will need to purchase one.

Will a Compaq Presario SR1820NX read SDHC memory cards?

Dear Artressfam,
Compaq Presario read all types of SD and MMC Cards,but all you need to do is connect your card to any USB card reader then insert USB card reader to on board USB port(Behind the Computer).

My laptop is window vista but then I upgraded it to window 7. Since then my driver sd ms pro mmc xd was disable. It doesnt read at all.

You need to go to the download and drive page for your laptop on compaq's site located here. It will ask you to select your Operating system select the one that was on it. then go to the Drive - Storage tab and you should see a Card reader driver. Download and install this should fix your issue, you may need to restart

Compaq 6910p Notebook does not recognize a SD-MMC memory card when inserted into the slot. The memory card is fine, as I can access it using a USB card reader, but it is not recogized in the Notebook's...

If the memory card is recognized and readable in a USB card reader, the memory card is fine. If the 6910 does not recognize the memory card, either the card is not properly seated in the 6910 card reader slot, the card slot is not connected to the main board of the 6910 or you need a DIFFERENT device driver for the 6910.

Hi,

I understand that now the Multimedia card is struck in the Media card reader of your notebook and you would like to know how to remove it.

Let me explain, there is no separate procedure to remove the card from the card reader.

Just insert and pull out, if it is not comming out when you pull gently, then you need technician help to remove it.

You need to contact local service center.

It,s a 15 in 1 Memory Card reader.
These are used to read SD/MMC et,c memory cards.
So that you can transfer Pictures et,c. From a digital Camera Or Similar. Directly to Your PC.
to view an inserted memory card. they usually appear as device letters, in my computer. If C:/ is the Hard-Disk. E:/ backup ( Partition Of Hard-disk ) F:/ DVD drive. Then G:/ H:/ I:/ would all be designated to the 15 in 1 card reader.
