I need your expert advise. My LG 52SX4D turns on, pic is great but no sound. I tried rebooting the whole system and but nothing. I saw a few times when it tried to start up the bulb indicator flashed but it eventually started.
Ok weird yet, the sound comes after about 15 mins of waiting around. But I am fretting it might not come back at all down the road.
What are my options ??

Did you ever get your problem fixed? Did it need a new board and if so, where did you get yours at?
Did you install it yourself? Is that possible?
Sorry for all the questions, it is really frustrating when the TV, only a few years old, start crapping out and it is almost football season in HD lol.
Only the main board can cause that problem. try to get a software upgrade first and /or replace the board software upgrade available to download at www.lg.com

Well I just joined regarding a differant problem with my LG and seen this one.
I had basically the same problem with mine where it was randomly shutting off but would turn on by itself right after.
What the problem with mine was, was a solder joint on the power supply. Tech found 2 bad solder joints, repaired them and works great. This happened about 2 years ago. Hope that helps
If the red light scrolls through, you need to replace the bulb. I replaced the my own bulb, and when I tried to turn on the tv the light kept scrolling. What was wrong? I DIDNT FULLY REASSEMBLE THE TV AFTER REPLACING THE BULB.
Make sure that all the screws are put back in and it will probably work if you have replaced the bulb.
