Auto punch -does this allow the recording to begin at a particular time without manual intervention, i.e. the pressing of a button? Thanks.

Please advise what model of keyboard you have purchased. Some do not allow recording without accompaniment. I might be able to help.

You have a memory problem. If you are using a flash card for memory or a CD drive or perhaps you have configured an external drive, you need to free up some space. Try deleting tracks or songs you don't need anymore.

Each song is independent on a CompactFlash
without affecting other songs. You can give a desired song name for managing recorded songs
(see pages 23 and 91).
Recorded track data is stored in a song as mono WAV files.
The MR-8mkII can convert the two WAV files recorded on tracks 7 and 8 (L and R) to a stereo
WAV file (see page 115).
You can export the converted stereo WAV file to your USB-connected personal computer, and
use the file by a music software application or make an original audio CD on the computer using
a CD burn software application. You can also burn an audio CD by using an external CD-R/RW
drive connected via the [USB HOST] port of the MR-8mkII (see page 115 and 123)

Good question, tuners can be simple and some are complicated
a basic automatic guitar tuner you would not have to do anything to the settings, just tune normal on the E string then slowly down tune to D most tuners are a little sensitive, so go slow
and one thing I always do is go lower than the note I'm tuning to then tune up tell it's correct, strings seem to stay in tune better

1. Press and hold down the ASSIGN A button (the light should be blinking) then (simultaneously) press the REC button above channel number 1. The light should blink when you do this.
2. Release the ASSIGN A and the REC button
3. Press the REC button above channel 1 (the light should be blinking by itself)
4. You should see the meters moving with in the display above Input A and Track 1 when you speak into the microphone.
5. Press the REWIND button twice until the display reads ABS 00.00.00.00
6. Press and hold the RECORD button and press the PLAY button. The REC light above channel one, the PLAY light and the RECORD light should become solid.
7. After recording press the STOP button.
8. Press the REWIND button twice until the display reads ABS 00.00.00.00
9. Press the PLAY button.

Make sure only the midi input is set, not the output, and that the channel your using is armed. Otherwise the signal won't get through in record mode.

I use an earlier model but try:

Press the "red" light on the correct channel you are using for input. that will bring up the dialog to set input level. the +/- level set is on the same side of the device as the menu wheel.
You need to be in 4CH mode for the external lights to be on

If the menu button on your Zoom H4n recorder is not selecting or responding when pressed, it could be due to a few different reasons:

1. The button is physically damaged or stuck: Check the button to make sure it is not stuck or physically damaged. Sometimes dirt or debris can accumulate around the button and prevent it from working properly.
2. The firmware needs to be updated: If the Zoom H4n recorder has not been updated recently, it's possible that the firmware needs to be updated. This can be done by connecting the recorder to a computer and downloading the latest firmware from the Zoom website.
3. The recorder needs to be reset: If the menu button is still not responding, you can try resetting the recorder to its factory settings. This can be done by holding down the "Menu" button and the "Track" button at the same time until the message "Init All" appears on the screen. Then, press the "Record" button to confirm the reset.

If none of these solutions work, it's possible that there is a hardware issue with the recorder and it may need to be repaired or replaced.

It is asking for confirmation that you want to initialize the unit. The manual doesn't say anything about this... but you should try pressing the "Yes" button to confirm you want to initiallize the unit or press no if you want to staart without initializing.

plug your condenser microphone into your computer before starting up the cubase program; then after you plug it into your computer start cubase; when cubase loads, press the [F4] key, then that will bring you to the audio configuration menu, there will be a speaker option and microphone option or what ever that stuff is; go to the microphone option and choose the microphone that you are using, then after you choose your microphone setting click close; then after that make create a [audio] then on the audio tab you will see a red button, by pressing that it will allow you to record, but there is another button beside it called a [monitor], press that button then it will allow you to hear your voice while you record your vocals. hope this help.

to start a turntable press Start button and put an arm with a needle across record, if there is no start button, just put arm across record - it should auto-start; to play cd put it in and press play (play button shoud be near the cd slot, together with stop, skip and others)
