This is normal I'm afraid. "InFocus" is a brand name indicating that these are fixed focus. The name implies that they are magically always in focus, but actually means that they CAN'T be focussed. They have a fixed compromise focus setting that is OK but maybe not brilliant from far distance to fairly close, but actually only completely right at some point in between. If you want binoculars to use for much closer viewing than the compromise distance, you need to buy some with a focussing knob.
Some binoculars will not focus on nearby objects. If the focusing knob is moving the eyepieces fully in and out then the binoculars cannot be focused nearby.
Sorry-
Some binoculars will not focus on nearby object so you should rather take another one if you wanna focus on nearby objects at all.Tasco 10x50 are simillar with my canon. You should check reviews and more info about theese models https://opticzoo.com/canon-10x42l-is-wp-review/ and maybe it would help you
False, they can be focused by adjusting the objective lenses.
As written above, This binoculars are fix-focus models. But the genious infocus syst?me makes YOUR EYES focusing like you naturally focus when when you're looking around you. I have the same problem and the answer is not wonderful : the problem in your (and my) eyes ... Older we are, wronger we see ... it's human life, sorry ....

I have a Tasco "In Focus" 10x50 binocular which supposedly is in focus constatly, regardless of the distance. As I stated objects 100 feet (approximately) or less are not in focus. There are no controls for this feature. Can you help?
The solution explanation was fine, but it doesn't bring me a lot of joy. Thanks.
