Yes there is a reset. Take of the front grille and you'll see the button on the front marked "HEATER RESET - PUSH". Make sure your unit is clean and free from lint and dust, which will accumulate over time and use. Inspect the unit for any signs of scorching or damage from whatever was put in front of the heater.

My reset button keeps tripping

Reset button...Is it also a breaker? After they trip a few times they can become weak. Also if possible check all the wiring and make sure all connection are tight and secure.

I have a cadet heater not working. When I try to push the reset button it does not seem to go in at all. Do I need to replace the complete heater unit or could it be the thermostat?

I had this same problem, which required a new heater. The thermostat tested fine. A bypass of the thermostat switch was attempted and the unit still would not work. The reset switch had never tripped to indicate a problem.

Cadet C202 Stopped working. I took the grill off and tried to reset it but the reset is stuck. What can i do?

I have the same issue on my Cadet c202. Did you ever identify a solution on this?

My thermostat turns on, but the heater does not. Reset switch does not appear to be working, or this isn't the issue. I'm hoping I don't need a new heater.

Any help would be appreciated.

Probably the Thermal Fuse, it is in the Phase line after the main switch, & goes Open Circuit when "Blown".

Cadet wall heater

Since I don't know what model of heater you have there might be a reset button to reset or an over temp switch (button sensor with 2 wires going to it) that needs to be replaced. You might check the recall list to see if this one has been recalled and should not be used.

Cadet heater quite working

that round metal thing is called a klixon overload. look on the side of it and an amperage range should be there. replace the unit and the element should work unless the element itself is blown. check for continuity across the element with your meter with the wires disconnected.
