My t.v. whines when innitially plugged in. no picture (rca f36650) guide plus gemstar xbox ready entertainment series

Probably not. RCA parts for this model are very difficult to find. Even you could find a kit, it will not have enough to repair. A do it yourselfer or TV tech will have a difficult time repairing this. Please shop for a new TV. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

When I turn on the tv it makes a loud chirping sound, with no picture. What could cause this?

yes. unplug. wait 2 minutes, plug back in. turn on. with factory remote control for tv press.....menu, 7, 1, go-back, tv....... easy

On the left hand side of the remote control there is a blue or diferent kind of small sercle round buton (mute) push it once and turn the volume up till you hear the volume.

RCA Entertainment Series 32" Plus Gold, GEMSTAR, xbox ready has been in the shop twice so far. Transformer replaced and 6 months later the picture suddenly had horizontal white lines that gradually spaced apart more from top to bottom and it had a gray hue and fuzzy, but I still watched it for 3 months that way. Today I turned it on and about a minute later I heard a loud crackling sound coming from the back and the picture disappeared, screen went black. Is it worth fixing again? how do I hook up a wii to my 27 inch rca guidegold gemstar plus. I use the inputs on the rear and can't get the tv to recognize them.

using a universal remote my 13 yr old son found a button which showed dvd/ vcr/aux this is what we needed. these channels are not assesable using channel up/down buttons.
