Sounds you may have to replace the batteries, but try taking out the battery from the camera and press the power button for about 10 seconds. Keep it turned off without the battery for 5 min then reconnect the charged batteries

Canon camera is 5 years old. Eventhough battery is fully charged, the display continues to say ..CHARGE BATTERY..... now camera is totally dead .... and no display text telling you to charge batteries

Try this trick. Pull battery and put camera in a zip lock bag and into freezer overnight. Take out and install charged battery and see if there is any change. This worked with a Go-pro I had, unbelievable! Capacitors get old and dry out and these sometimes affect the charge circuit as well as batteries getting old too. Li-po batteries (yours) get old if you use them or not so it may just be an expired battery.

My vivitar x345 wont hold charge

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and graduallythe charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The batteryshows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops offto zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptablecharge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Rechargeable batteries can and do just die without warning.Sometimes the charger does so as well. The charger automatically prevents overcharging though.

Realistically, all you can do at short notice is to try another freshly charged NB-6L battery. if a camera shop has a display model they might allow you to try their battery in your camera, or more likely, your freshly charged battery in their camera.

Battery wont charge

This camera not charged via PC, you can charge the battery only with wall charger(comes with box). When camera is plugged to PC, you can´t use it as a camera, only as a memory card. You can watch your stuff in PC( PC recognise a camera as a flash memory, no more).

So, this is normal..Charge your camera with wall charger(Full charge Red light not flash!, if light flashed camera is charging) Unplug and use as usually!
