Your best bet is to play the recordings through the headphone connector to a pc audio line-in connector and capture the audio using something like Audacity. Then output them using audacity to mp3 to play on your mp3 player.

These units are notorious for their failing USB feature.

On the top of the device are the recording indicator and built-in microphone. On the front of the device to the right of the screen: (from top to bottom) ERASE, MENU, VOLUME UP, VOLUME DOWN
The MENU button cycles through these options in this order: Folder, record condition, record quality, AVR on/off, play condition, beep tone, set year/day/12 or time, key lock on/off
On the right side of the device: (from top to bottom) RECORD, STOP, PLAY, FORWARD*, REVERSE* *(FORWARD/REVERSE can be used in the MENU mode to select options)
On the left side of the device: (from top to bottom) External microphone jack Connects headphones

yes but first you have to find online the driver for your device, download it and install it. After, find an appropriate usb cable which you can hook up to your device.

I have exactly the same model here sat doing nothing. I too lost the manual and the CD after contacting RCA they say it is an older model and as such no longer supported and that I was welcom to search the internet.

As far as support from RCA goes you, just like me are out of luck

I did quite a bit of digging some tome back but could only find a link that wanted $10 for a photocopy emailing to me !

As far as the software I have yet to find that.

to lock and unlock your recorder, hold down the menu button to lock, and also unlock, i think it can only lock while its off, so just hold down menu and you will see the lock on the screen disappear

1. Select folder (A/B/C/D)
2. Select file.
3. Press ERASE once and DELETE will
blink on the screen.
4. Press and hold ERASE for 3 seconds
to confirm deleting. (or press STOP to
cancel erasing file)
