if it's a zip file all you need to do is dowload the file and save it to your desktop, right click and extract it then run the setup program. you don't need a drive to download files.
I would check for Application compatibility. there might be a conflict issue with your Palm TX and some software in it. there is a site for you to check for compatibility to see if there is a risk or if they are "Approved" for use in the Palm TX

A lot of people have this problem and I haven't been able to find a download site for anyone. Youm ight try ebay for a copy of the software and I did find this site for another person, although I don;t know if you have any interest in this;
