Hi my belt is slipping. I have tightened it but it is still slipping. I am concerned that further tightening will result in a too high amp draw on the motor and cause a burn out. Does the deck needs to be lubricated or what other factors cause slipping of the belt.

Hello,

Does the belt stop while walking or running? Does it staop after it has run for a while? Does the motor seem to stop too? or can you hear it running like normal?

Let me know, It is most likley the pully on the front roller.

Matt

Belt feels like it slips when I'm walking

If the belt is worn on the underside you will definitely want to replace the belt. The link at the bottom will take you to a video on how to use a liquid lube on your treadmill. Lubricating the belt/deck every 30 days will prolong the life of the belt and the deck.

The friction caused by excessive wear on the belt and/or the deck can cause a high amp draw and make the drive motor work harder than it's designed to.

You should not adjustthese since they are preset. Tension can be affectedslightly by adjusting the tension of the walking belt but if you have a slippingproblem, the drive belt will require replacement. If yourdrive belt is too loose, it will slip on the front roller pulley or the motorpulley. If it is too tight, it will increase your amp draw to the point thatyou may have an electronics or motor problem. Due to this, it is better to beon the safe side and replace a drive belt rather than riskover tightening it. A drive belt is usually $29.99 or less while many parts youcan damage by over tightening can be more than $300.Additionally, too much tension can cause bearing failure in the motor and thefront roller and front roller pulley failure. It is better to err onhaving the belt a little too tight rather than too loose due to the possibilityof injury if the belt slips. Belt starting slipping, adjusted according to User's manual...belt still slips.

hi,
Here is the steps to adjust the treadmill belt,
(1). Turn off the treadmill and remove the plug from the wall outlet to make sure it doesn't turn on during the readjustment process.

(2).Tighten the roller bolts on the rear of the treadmill belt with an Allen wrench. Tighten both the right and left bolts with 1/4 turns.

(3).Avoid tightening the bolts more than 1/4 of a turn at a time. If the belt is tightened too much, it may cause damage to the belt, which would require a replacement.

(4).Plug the treadmill into the wall and press "Power."

(5). Select a program and begin walking. If the treadmill is still slipping, turn off the treadmill, unplug it and tighten the bolt a 1/4 turn again until it is properly adjusted.

watch the following video which will help you to do the same. All brand hve the same procedure for tighten the walking belt.

If then also the belt is slipping then you have to replace the running belt with a new one.

Belt is slipping

This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the walking belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.

Belt slipping have tried to tighten, just bought used

When the belt slips, it can be 2 different places. The trick is to look at the front roller when the belt slips. If the front roller stops with the walking belt, then the drive belt (between the motor and front roller) is loose and can't be fixed by tightening the walking belt. If the drive belt is slipping, it needs to be tightened or replaced. I need the brand and model number to help you further.

Everything seems to work fine except a small slip in the track about every 30 seconds or so. Is there something that needs to be tightened?

The walking belt may be too loose. If you have made recent adjustments, lubricated, or had repairs, a belt can slip if not tightened. The belt can slip if you have too much friction or if the belt has been recently lubricated. If lube does not help your problem and you have exhausted all other possibilities, the walking belt is most likely worn out and must be replaced.
To adjust the belt: Less Belt Tension: turn both adjustment bolts on back of treadmill in a counter-clockwise direction. More Belt Tension: Turn both adjustment bolts equally in a clockwise direction. Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the left): Turn left-side adjustment bolt counter-clockwise. Center Adjustment (moves belt center to the right): Turn the left-side adjustment bolt clockwise.
An over tightened walking belt can raise the amp draw of your treadmill, contribute to seam separation on the walking belt, or both, so do not over tighten the walking belt.
You should be able to lift the belt in the center on the side by approximately 2” to 3”, if you cannot lift it by 2” to 3”, the belt is too tight.

Belt slipping

Here are two solutions one is to get the belt centered on the treadmill and the other is to tighten the belt.

There should be two bolts in the rear of the treadmill, one on each side. These bolts adjust the rear roller of the treadmill. The walking belt will always go to the side that is looser. To get the belt back on track, (if you can start the treadmill so the belt is running) tighten the bolt on the side that the belt has slipped to. Tighten the bolt a little bit at a time. If you tighten the bolt too much, then the belt will go to the other side.

As far as the manual, I have not been able to found it anywhere yet.
