Empty out the old gas and refill with new gas, check for broken or cracked fuel hose(s),also change the fuel filter, put in Seafoam Motor Treatment into the gas tank and let it sit to clean the deposits in the fuel system then after its started let is burn all the gas and Seafoam thats in the tank, ( follow directions on the Seafoam bottle ) you will likely see lots of thick white smoke, but its nothing to worry about, its just cleaning the deposits by burning the deposits, once you see little or no smoke its good to drive that boat again, while working on that boat, it would not hurt to have clean, air filter and new spark plugs to help keep the motor running smoothly and keep it running good.
Try cleaning the photo eye flame sensor. It is the black rubber boot close to the burner. Remove it and you can see the sensor down inside. Clean it with a soft cloth or a cotton swab and some alcohol. Also check the air line for cracks and check for tightness where the air line connects to the fan motor and the fuel nozzle. If the hose is stretched there, try trimming a little off the end so it will fit tighter. Check the fuel line for the same thing where it connects to the fuel filter and fuel nozzle. I am not to sure of the trouble codes on Mr.Heater but this is usually a fuel related problem. My routine maintenance is remove top half of heater and clean fuel system from nozzle back to the tank.Remove nozzle, clean the screen behind the nozzle they corrode over the summer sometimes inspect the nozzle for corrosion or damage. Inspect lines back to pump then to filter. The filter can be cleaned out with compressed air and a blow gun blowing air thru the filter backwards. Now check the fuel line to the tank and make sure it is submerged in the fuel. Before putting the top on locate the fire sensor and give it a quick cleaning with windex and soft terry cloth rag. Put your heater back together and check air filter to pump clean it and fire away. This works 90 percent of the time. Good luck!
This is a classic problem with the reddy heaters. They have a filter which over time plugs up. This causes the air/fuel mixture ratio to change because the pump pressure is determined by the air bleed. As the filter plugs the air pressure drops and the fuel also drops meaning the burner is running lean. This eventually causes the unit to shut down and as you said smoke comes out. It is a fairly easy fix and I have a tip which will walk you through it at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4124129-yearly_maintenance_reddy_heaters . My tip will link you to the place to get the parts you need as well as how to perform the additional maintenance that these heaters require.

This could be several things. It could be a problem with fuel flow, the high temperature limit is activated, or a problem with the flame rod. Start by checking your filter at the barrel and the strainer in the fuel sump. If you hear a ticking or thumping noise before it cuts off, you are not getting fuel to the fuel pump. Next you can clean your flame rod with some steelwool or fine sandpaper. Lastly, make sure the circulating fan is running and nothing is blocking the air to fan. You can also clean the fan blades if they are dirty.
hi this could be 3 problems ? no spark so vapour not igniting so excess vapour coming out as smoke, if it ignites stays on for a while goes out the flame probe is faulty, fuel filter is blocked needs new one , the fuel pipe going into tank has a non return vavle in it ( its a plastic ball in line with pipe ) if this is missing or stuck it allows fuel to drain back into tank and causes a air lock in heater causing vapour into chamber result in smoke coming out of end, as a quick fix for that you can fill pipe with fuel bend it so its traps in fuel like fire place pipe in tank when stopping fire stick mole gripps on pipe so next time fuel is there ready
runs for awhile shuts down with a big puff of smoke comes out poured diesel 911 thought i had water in diesel fuel cans nothing help need solution ASAP
