If the password is a user or administrator password, reinstall the OS. If the enter password request is displayed just after the system powers up, you must take the computer to a Toshiba Service Center to have the password erased. For an HDD password, nothing doing. Get a new HDD or scour the Internet for some software that can retrieve the PWD.
Go to the Toshiba support site for your country (or the country where the laptop was sold). Select Mobile Computing, then Drivers Download. You will be taken to a page where you select the laptop family (Satellite or Tecra, ...). Select the exact model. A list of available download is displayed.
