Ps3 i too bought my 80gb ps3 back in janurary and couple of days ago it started booting me off-line from gta4 then started freezing up alot and 2 days later it wont play any discs. it still turns on fine and i can use the internet browser but no disc loading

SAFE MODE

1) Place you finger on the on/off sensor keep it their until your console turn off. Remove your finger.

2) Place you finger back on the on/off sensor keep it their until you hear 2 consecutive beeps then take your finger off.

3) Choose the last option PS3 SYSTEM RESTORE.

NOTE: A system restore will delete all saved game data. It is recommend backing up your console if possible.

Is your ps3 a 60 gig,because I remember my old ps3 freezing on gta as well,try playing without being signed in to psn.

sounds like the downloaded file has a bug. presumably it was downloaded from ps3 server......

i have read the map pack is corrupt, there are no fixes at the moment.

i dont care and stop asking ps3s are crashing and call sony no one here can fix these problem so save urself time and call sony

boot in your system properly for the required files download to access to check the booting settings when your system restart to solve

Call sony or take your ps3 apart and clean the lens

for freezing problems... try to move your system away from areas that are often hot, blocking the vents, or blocking air movement. the main culprit for freezing issues is over heating. if your system becomes too hot it will flash green and red where your power button is. so if your having trouble with that problem follow those steps.

Check out your ps3 guide that came with the ps3 and check out the hard drive section, pull the hd out and replace it.. shows you how to in the guide.. shut the system ff after you re-install the hd and let me know what happens. Should fix it!
