I have D-Link GLB-802c ADSL2+ Router/Modem with MTNL Connection & Edimax wireless broadband router 802.11 b/g with 1 WAN socket & 4 LAN socket. Now I have use LAN (Wired through 24 Port Ethernet switch. Getting Internet speed is very good. But I need to connect some Laptops through WAN. Kindly, pl let me know how I configure the D-Link GLB-802c ADSL2+ Router/Modem & Edimax wireless broadband router 802.11 b/g & 24 Port Ethernet switch, so I can use both LAN/WAN for networking simultaneously. You don't need your CD to config the router.

Usually you can login on your browser to you router and go to the management section to check for firmware updates and select that button and it will download and install the firmware. On some models, you have to go to the D-link web site and look for firmware updates for your router. Always check what you current firmware you have installed and check the version of you router modem (A, B, C etc). Then you can manually download the firmware (usually in a ZIP file), open the zip file, and then using your browser connected to the router look for Update Firmware. You will have to go to where (folder) you saved the downloaded update and select that file. It is recommended that you update using a LAN connection and not a wireless connection.

For router u did not need to install any drivers. connect the router to your PC via lan cable and check the connectivity by,

start---> run ----> cmd ----> ping 192.168.1.1

This is a wireless router, so yes, you should be able to access the internet without a cable. The router also only supports wired lan, not wireless.

Always check your LAN cable between your modem and the router and try a new cable. Login the make certain your router is configured correctly to connect to your mode.

when the adsl is not blinking that means your phone line is having problem plz ask your phone line provider to check the line.
