Hello,
There is no nth root button per se. But to take the nth root of a number is equivalent to raising the number to the power 1/n

Nth root of X= X^ (1/n)
Hope it helps.

SOURCE: how to find nth root using Casio FX-83ES

You use the power root function key accessible with the key sequence [SHIFT][X ^]. I am inserting a screen capture from the manual to show you the sequence.

On the third line of the capture (power root) is the key you must press. In the small rectangle to the left of the radical sign you enter the order of the root: 2 for square root, 3 for cube root, 4 for 4th root and son on.

To calculate the decimal log you use the [LOG] key as shown on capture. For natural log (ln), use the [LN] key. The argument (2/3) in your example should be enclosed inside the parentheses.

How can you take any root above the 3rd on this calculator?

You can use the SHIFTED [^] key (Xroot) . Enter the index of the root (4, 5, 6, nth), press [SHIFT][^] then the radicand.
You can also use the fact that nth-root is equivalent to a power (1/n)

Compute the nth root

The nth-root function is the right-shifted function of the square-root key, second column from the left, fifth row from the top.

In RPL mode, to calculate the third root of eight, press 8 ENTER 3 right-shift [nth-root] and get 2.

In algebraic mode, press right-shift [nth-root] 3 right-shift [,] 8 ENTER and get 2. (The comma is the right-shifted function of the SPC key on the bottom row.)

How do i use the radical symbol on my ti-30xs

The radical symbol is used to calculate square roots. It a radical has a small 3 to the top left of it, it means cubic root. It it has a a small n or a small x to the top left of it, it means nth root.

The way any of these roots works is one of the following:
Enter a number (positive for a square root or an nth root with n even) then press the square root button. The result is then displayed.

The other way is to press the root key then enter the number whose root you wan t calculate. The result is then displayed.

If you press the square root key and a radical is displayed withy a left parenthesis, you can be sure it is the second way.
