It's more likely that your computer is acting up than the phone.
Reinstalling the software that lets your computer interact with your phone should fix the problem.

you can send theme by selecting it and then selecting send through bluetooth. in case the theme is copyrighted you won't be able to send the theme. Bluetooth has limitation of 15 meters hence you cannot connect to internet directly via bluetooth you have to use gprs alongwith bluetooth to connect to internet. you cannot browse others pc or mobile via your mobile hence there is no question of downloading. but you can send themes from others mobile via bluetooth to yours.

It depends on the phone: Motorola phones generally can use a software tool (Motorola Phone Tools) or can directly connect via USB or Bluetooth. The iPhone requires jailbreaking, and can connect via an application over wifi, Bluetooth, or the usb-based cable. I am not as familiar with HTC or Blackberry phones, however I have heard the android phones may require an application or natively support, blackberry uses bluetooth or usb... Then there are the Verizon phones which can act as a mobile WiFi hotspot. It all depends.

Water Damage will usually cause the LCD screen or backlight to go bad. Replacing the LCD screen on the Sony W810i is a pretty straight forward procedure. This should then take care of the problem.

A new LCD screenruns about 30 dollars from Ebay.

Sony Erricson w810 runs on a Java Platform, and hence virus wont affect the phones working. All you need to do is scan the Memory stick while plugin in to the computer.

i used to have this problem with my old skool W800i..
well, it is actually connection problem.. the camera is not connect properly to the mainboard..
if the phone fall down to the floor before, well, it might too hard until connection lossed..
well, disasembly and reconnect connector..
or as simply as push the casing, hopefully, it help reconnect back the connector..

hi there 46-79 , you dont say how you are trying to connect the Sony W810i , are you using USB cable or bluetooth to try and connect the W810i ? if your using bluetooth you will need to purchase a bluetooth dongle for the laptop so it can communicate with your mobile.
                        If you are using a usb cable to connect the laptop to your Sony W810i make sure you are using the proper type of usb cable , some usb cables are not suitable for connecting mobiles to a PC or a laptop.visit sony ericcsons website and sign up for free to find out the comaptible types of usb cable for your mobile...
