Wega coffee machine

Hi I have just installed a wega coffee machine in a mobile coffee cart. The machine has worked properly for a couple of hours and then fills up automatically. We have removed and cleaned the level sensor and this helps but only briefly. The machine is on a private loand and has been sitting unused for a good year possibly longer.

Are you on Well water or distilled water?
If no then check the inlet solenoid valve, on the model of your machine it would be an electrical box with 2 pipe fittings on it, usually on the side of the machine.
Does the problem occur when the machine is turned off?
If yes then there is a leak either on the manual fill, or the exchanger in the boiler(happens when a machine freezes), or the inlet solenoid is leaking.

Does the pump run when the boiler is filling?
If the pump runs then the probe is calling for water and it needs to be replaced or cleaned with a wire brush, also check the electrical connector on the probe that could be damaged. If the problem is still happening then the auto level box is damaged.

This issue can happen if the site inlet water pressure falls below 1 bar. The boiler fills but as you draw drinks it won't refill.
Do you service the machine ever and replace the water filter? Limescale build up may be another reason you are experiencing problems.

Keurig b70 platinum motor runs but no water comes out

I have had the same issue with mine. If you fill it up with water and press brew. It only spits out a little to no water but you can hear it running. I found out later on that there was calcium build up on the heating element and through out the lines. I just ran straight vinegar through the machine a couple of times and then let it sit for a couple of hours with it still on. Even thought it is not coming out its still in the lines and it seemed to **** it up. After a while it seemed to be fine and work fine as well. Just have to rinse it out a couple of times with water to get the vinegar from making your coffee taste terrible.

Wega Espresso Machine is slow to recover steam pressure

Bad pressurestat or bad heating element. PS feeds power to heating element, heating the machine til its up to pressure, which then turns the pressure stat off. If either of the two pieces are bad neither will work properly.

Could also be the machine is overfilled which causes the machine to take longer to heat up.

How to decalcify and ventilate the machine

Use diluted CLR to remove calcium, and then fill the water reservoir with vinegar, let this sit for a couple hours and then run the machine. Immediately run it again with water. Let it sit and dry for a couple hours and run water through it a final time before making coffee.

Hi Bill
What happens when you do a tea ? (hot water only, NOT the steam button) do you also get little water ?
The fact that you are getting steam is good as there are 2 heating systems in the unit.
Have you ran the descaling recently (if you do not use filter ) ?
If you have or use a filter the problem is likely to be at the rear of the machine, however the back contents all the power and you will need to be happy to do some stripping down of the machine,
In the back you have the pump, valves, heater etc.
I am just about to draw up a flow chart of the water system inside the machine and have it published online (couple of days).
Are you happy to strip machine down ?

My cuisenart 12 cup thermal coffee maker makes bad coffee. I can't return it as it was a fathers day gift. coffee always tastes bitter and burnt. at work we use the same coffee in a 20 dollar sunbeam...

The quality of the water is responsible for the flavor of the coffee. If you have had this coffee maker for a while it is probably coated with lime. Run a couple of cups of vinegar through it followed by a couple of pots of clear water. That will clean up your machine.

Once it is clean, try making a pot with bottled water, or water that you run through a water filtering pitcher.
You will be amazed at the differenct.

There isn't enough pressure to pump water through the coffee

Chalk in the system, let it run a couple of times with plain vinegar. just fill the machine with about half a liter (one water container) vinegar and collect the vinegar in a cup so you can reuse it. run the full 0.5 liter, wait an hour and repeat. Than run 2 full watercontainers plain water. should work again. Cheaper than antichalk fluid and works the same
