When installing steam release valve on 7 qt pressure cooker it is not tight but very loose
Thats the way it is supposed to be. if it was too tight, it would not automatically release when necessary.

Here is the site for this pressure cooker and model # that you need...

It's on the left hand side under the panini maker...the picture is of the 7.5 size but under that picture it does have a drop down menu that says model # and that 5 qt Pressure Cooker with that Model # is there...
