Ethernet Drivers for Compaq Evo for XP

I needed to re-install Windows XP after a disk crash on a Compaq Evo. A number of drivers are not available after the installation, amongst them the Ethernet network driver (controller seems to be on the motherboard). Tried to download all 3 network drivers on the HP driver page. No success. Anybody any idea where I find that driver? Thanks!
i need an ethernet driver for my compaq desktop computer. i have already been to compaqs web site and downloaded all of there network drivers but they dont work. please help!!!!

tried downloading drivers from compaq website, but they didn't work... what in the world are you supposed to do? I called customer support and they want the serial number, but apparently the serial number on my machine doesn't exist? I dunno...

Do a google search for the following:

Intel Pro2KXP.exe

This will give you the drivers for your ethernet card.

This should work.

And just to add that your system specs are really old and you should think about upgrading. 128 mb ram upgradable to 2 gigs.

Integrated 4x agp graphics...you should be able to install a new agp graphics card.

Or you should buy a new computer if you dont know how to build your own which can be tricky and expensive if you cant reuse many parts.

Compaq Evo Network Driver On and Off working

If you have access to another system, go to http:\\www.belarc.com and download a free copy of Belarc Advisor. Copy this to a disk or flash drive and install it on the machine in question. This will give you the specific driver that you need to download from intel for your network card. Then go to http:\\www.intel.com and download it.
