Washer overflows from soap dispenser.

  • Anonymous Dec 01, 2008

same problem - not due to a dirty soap tray. suspect the internal water valve is broken - already replaced cold water valve, now this with the hot water not shutting off.

Bosch works for a few years - then its a piece of ****.

    Hi,

How do you remove the cold water valve. I've gain access and have removed all hoses and electrical, but not sure how to remove valve. I don't want to cause any damage.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

We went through the whole "clean the soap dispenser" deal and results were the same. Exploratory surgery revealed that the Prewash hose (for lack of better term), which connects from the top of the drum housing to the right side of the dispenser drawer (facing the machine)was completely clogged with gunk. Especially strange since we don't prewash hardly anything, ever. The hose that connects the bottom of the detergent dispenser with the side of the drum housing did have a lot of buildup, but I do not believe it was the cause because this was only happening on the rinse cycle. I also found the flow meter was frozen up.

Take the soap dispenser drawer out and clean the inside where the drawer fits into. Then give the drawer a good clean including underneath it, it could be caused by soap build up.

There are 3 compartments . . .

It says the 1st compartment going left to right laundry detergant and stain remover, the middle is for the soaking agent, and the last one is for fabric softner. I hope that helps!

You can download the manual online and I found the info on page 12 of the manual.

I have a bosch WFR 2460 washer. Er:15 error code.

You need to check and clean pump filter, normally located behind a removeable plastic cover at bottom front of washer right hand side.
If no filter found there remove rear panel of washer, and clean pump from rear of washer.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

My Axxis wfr 2460 is not releasing the fabric softner from the drawer

You could try a tooth-brush. And after you fill your quantity of softener, top it with water till the exit level of the compartment. You could also check whether water actually pours into the compartment during the final rinsing of the clothes; in this case you should check the inlet pipe screens of your inlet pipe into the machine; which can be done without opening up the machine.

Our Washer is overflowing through the dispenser drawer

water out of the soap drawer could be a multitude of things, start with removing the drawer and checking for blockage in the pipe from the drawer to the drum, next try turning down the water pressure a little sometimes that can help, or has the machine filled up totally till it overflows, that is a blocked pressure switch pipe, start with looking for the blockage first, work with safety unplug if removing lid etc. rate me if i have helped, thank you
