I'm on Facebook with Google Chrome and everytime I refresh the page, the page loads and everything but the little refresh logo on the toolbar stays as refreshing and it never fully stops. This has been playing hell with my Facebook notifications meaning it nevers shows me when I get a new notification unless I refresh the page. EVEN when I stop it by clicking the X where the refresh button normally is, it's still playing hell with my notifications. It's working fine for everyone else but has been doing it with me now for about 2 weeks. Facebook works absolutely fine on other browsers, it's just happening on Chrome. As you can understand this is getting VERY annoying. Help?

I've been using chrome for some time and there's not been problem like what you just said maybe u should try reinstalling chrome. or try to upgrade it to only a stable version

I need to make google chrome my default browser
to create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help

click on the tools at the bottom of the drop down list will be internet options or
click start control panel internet options you will see a home page box To Create Page Tabs type

each adress on its own line (type in google chrome.com) or your preferred home page and browser
below that will be change search defaults click on settings you will see all search providers you

have if dont need any of them you can disable or remove them

My facebook page is not loading only on this browser and works fine on everything else such as internet explorer. chrome opens the facebook page and all i see is the toolbar and everything else is blank...
Try deleting your browser cache.
In Google Chrome
  1. Click the wrench icon chrome_toolsmenu.gif on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Select Clear browsing data.
  4. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.
  5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Select beginning of time to delete everything.
  6. Click Clear browsing data.

Press F5 on your keyboard, this will refresh your browser.
Or, you can click the arrow that is in a circle on the toolbar at the top of the screen as well.

Turning off and disable DNS pre-fetching may actually solve and fix many web page not loading issue in Google Chrome. Here's how to disable and turn of DNS prefetching in Google Chrome.
  1. In Google Chrome, click on Tools menu (a little wrench icon), then go to Options.
  2. Click on the Under the Hood tab.
  3. Under "Privacy" section, untick the check box for Use DNS pre-fetching to improve page load performance.

Unable to access my Facebook Home page
I think this is due to cookies. Google Chrome options - 1. Click on "Tools" (Spanner in the right corner under the close page X) 2. Click on "options" (11th option down) 3. Click "under the bonnet" 4. Click "content settings" 5. Keep on the cookies section. Make sure it's on "allow local data......" Click "Exceptions" 6. Type in the facebook ULR 7. Do the same (click exceptions) for all of the others BUT NOT POP UPS!!!
