Err 99 could mean several different things, such as... Memory Card, Lens or Lens contacts.... Here's what you can try: Remove the memory card an enable "shooting with out memory card" and see if you still get the error. If it works your memory card is bad.Try another lens if you can. Clean the lens contacts with a pencil eraser (be careful not to get eraser dust in the camera body or in the lens). Worst case scenario is, Err 99 could be related to the shutter failing which would mean a trip to Canon. Thanks

nothign to worry about , you just try to change the usb port , i mean try a different usb port on your laptop it will search for the drivers and it should work , still if you are facing any problems ,goto control panel -add/remove programs uninstall your mblaze software,,then re insert your device it will again install the software and this will definately solve your problem .

Err 01: LENS COMMUNICATION
DESCRIPTION: This error occurs in the following conditions: When electronic communication with the lens cannot be established, after the EOS D300D is powered ON or when the shutter button is pressed halfway. When the lens diaphragm cannot be controlled during shutter release.
REMEDIAL MEASURE: Clean the electronic contacts on the lens with a clean, soft, dry cloth and check the mount interface switch on the body's lens mount for dirt or other damage. If this does not solve the problem, try another Canon EF lens or have the EOS EOS D300D examined by a qualified service technician. This error is similar to Error 84 on the D30.
This will sound off the wall, but we had something similar to this happen with my last laptop, where it was "access denied" in lots of areas, and we would have to find little backdoor ways to get into control panel and document files. The problem with our computer was that it had previously crashed, and we had rebooted and reinstalled the xp, but didn't have the registration number, so it would run ok, but to get into all those access denied things (which you eventually need to get into) we had to come up with our registration number.
Did it prompt you to enter the product key when you re-installed it?
