SOURCE: stainless steel band won't snap into my watch

Stainless steel bracelet ends (so called wings) must be curved flush to the watch case.
Another way is to use curved spring lugs (pins).

Yes the battery needs to be replaced. The battery should be replaced by trained personnel to avoid damage and to maintain the water resistance according to factory specifications. After battery replacement the hands of your atomic watch must be repositioned to 12 o’clock. The hands can be advanced either incrementally by repeatedly pressing the T2 button or rapidly by holding the T2 button. Pressing the T2 button briefly advances the minutes, holding the button down lets the minute hand move continuously until the T2 button is released. (The minute is also shown in the LCD helping you to set the correct time.) Your watch now uses its integrated quartz movement. Please note in this mode your watch cannot display the date. The time you have set is retained until your watch is able to receive the signal from the WWVB transmitter again. The date will then also be set and displayed in the LCD again. After your atomic watch automatically receives the WWVB signal the watch will be set to Pacific standard time. You must then either press the T1 button to confirm the time or set the desired time zone. ---------------- La Crosse Technology, Ltd provides a 10-year limited warranty on the movement of this product against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. All other components of the watch including the lens and strap are warranted for 1-year against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. SOURCE: how do change a battery of a watch?

If you do not have the proper tools,(proper tools are recommended) and depending on the type of backing, this may help you :

  1. Locate a very small tab (or recessed area) on the edge of the back cover. This is the access point for removal.
  2. Get a kitchen knife with a rigid blade. It doesn't have to be razor sharp, it only needs to be inflexible. You can also use a small fine screwdriver.
  3. Very carefully slide the blade under the tiny metal protrusion on the back cover (or across the length of the recessed area, depending on which type of cover your watch has). Do not attempt to insert the point of the knife. Use the length of the blade.
  4. Get under the tab or recessed area and gently but firmly turn the blade upward, popping the cover off.
  5. Locate your battery(Small round disc type) remove and check the numbers on it. Go to most any local dept. stores (Wal Mart, Target, Radio Shack, etc.) and purchase same.
  6. Install battery with numbers up.
  7. Place cover over watch, and snap back into place.
Hope this helps. If not, please let me know and I will get back to you.

SOURCE: my watch needs a new battery.

There is a tool that you need that adjusts to the three holes or openings in the back of your watch and it just screws off. If you don't have access to the tool, simply take two push pins and CAREFULLY insert them into the openings and unscrew the back cover. Remember that it unscrews counter-clockwise.This will give you access to the battery simply take it out and go to the store to buy a replacement repeat the process to install the cover back on.

How to replace battery EH-23GA

when you have an expensive watch, take it to a jeweler or, to a pawn shop. Many pawn shops change batteries, and are cheaper than jewelers. Always ask for price first.

How to change battery on Ehoward watch eh-23SA.

This is the model with the exposed button on the right side. The back does not come off, but the front does! If you use a loop you may be able to see a notch between 7 and 9 O'clock. Be very careful because the gasket keeping the watch water resistant is right there. You do not want to harm it. I put the watch in a holder and place a very thin jewelers screw drive on the side. With a jewels hammer I tap lightly until the front comes off. You must then carefully remove the movement from the case and not touch the hands. In order to close the watch after battery replacement, a watch press is a must. Without the press, you won't get the watch closed. The manufacturer suggests taking the watch to a qualified professional. You can send it to the manufacturer as well and they will change the battery for you. The Manufacturer is La Crosse Technology in La Crosse Wisconsin.

How do I adjust the time zone on my E.Howard atomic watch? The T2 button doesn't activate anything when it's pushed?

No, just set properly. This watch is very difficult to set. A watchmaker may be able to help you. The instructions are not very clear. You might try a watchmaker for assistance or try calling them although I have not had much luck along those lines.
