I'll be moving abroad where the power supply is 220V. Would a 200W transformer be good enough to keep Omega 8003 running normally? Thanks for your advice. -

Juice content of the fruit you are using. Try with Granny Smith apples and make sure they are this season and not last years. Also try the juicer with oranges to prove it is the apples and not the juicer. Also try peeling the apples as a test. The skin can block the strainer. Another trick, run the discarded pulp again.
1. test for power at female end of cord? (eliminates, breaker, socket, cord, plugs, all wiring to appliance. I think this appliance is hard wired at the connection, so you may need a non-contact tester.
Never oil a power switch. Sounds like a defective switch and if others have the same problem go to the manufacturer website and look for a possible recall or solution.
I talked to an Omega tech, and he walked me through a home fix. If you open the juicer and look at the switch from below there are two sets of connections. Just move the red, blue, white connections to the opposite side (make sure the unit is unplugged when doing this).

There are two almost identical cone-shaped parts, one with metal screening and one solid dark plastic (I'm going by the parts color appearance of my 8003 model). Be sure you're using the one with the screen, otherwise the juice has nowhere to go but out with the pulp.
LOOK UNDER WHERE YOU PUSH DOWN ON THE LATCH ARMS TO SECURE THE LID. ONE ONE SIDE THERE MAY BE A SMALL INTERLOCKING SWITCH WHICH WOULD PREVENT THE JUICER FROM RUNNING WITHOUT THE COVER LOCKED DOWN. USE A SMALL SCREW DRIVE TO CORRECT IF MISALIGNED. THE JUICER ALSO COMES WITH A 15 YEAR WARRANTY, SO OMEGA WILL FIX FOR FREE.
