When turning on my Polaroid SprintScan 4000 (SCSI version), it starts its warm up and relative light starts normally blinking. After a few seconds, the light turns off and the scanner produces two/three thiny ticks stopping its initialization procedure. The scanner stays on but the PC doesn't recognize it! OS Windows XP sp3 Home Edit. ASPI drivers properly installed and fully operational! Pentium 4 3,20GHz Motherboard ASRock P4i945GC SCSI card LSI logic 53C810 I wish you could help me in solving this issue! Thank you in advance Best Regards, Gaspare Vitale

Dear expert, when you say that you deem I have power supply problems and the failure may be caused by a short or a bad part on the main board, you are referring to the main board of the scanner, aren't you?

If so, and, thus, I need to send my scanner to a Polaroid service, please, would you mind being so kind and indicating to me where I can find a suitable one in Italy or the closest to Italy, in Europe?

I have already tried on internet but the two Italian addresses (phone numbers) I have found seem not to be valid any longer!

    Thank you in advance.

Hello Gaspare, hi, looks to me you have power supply problems, the initialization process failed due to a short or a bad part on the main board, this bad part was detected on initialization. The bad part could be a shorted transistor or a bad lamp or relay or the failure of the entire main board. Now the question is do we have parts available for repairs. I suggest you visit your Polaroid store for proper service.

AC window type Carrier stops and displays Fr (blinking)

-When a blinking light problem occurs, your air conditioning system often shuts off too, meaning warm air is blown. You can switch off the circuit breaker of your AC unit, wait for a few seconds, and then switch it on again. For some, the unit will start working normally again.

Cant get my computer to recognize my SprintScan 4000

The scanner uses a "twain" driver, try searching for that, it may be one of the files you already downloaded. Just look in the download u got. Also try going to add hardware, select the scanner there and poit it to the downloaded file when uit asks if you have a disk that came with it. Download the drivers to your desktop, rt click and open a folder on the desktop, and drag all of the drivers and the Twain one especially, into the folder.
