The machine will not spin, unsure what the code means and if there is anything we can do before calling a repairman
Thanks
I have the whirlpool Duet 9150 with the same issue. I removed, reseated and reconnected every connector at least 4 times with the same random result of F06 to the point where it no longer finished the load. I then removed the motor control board again and sprayed it down with electronic cleaner along with all connections by disconnecting them , spraying them down and then reconnect and connected a few times to ensure good contact. I then tried again and the F -06 code came back. I then ordered the board for $ 150 online . When the new board arrived 4 days later, my wife tried the washer one more time and it worked. I have performed over 2 dozen loads . The board was never replaced. It appeared that spraying the board and connectors worked.
Please reply back if this worked or not.
just going through the same problems you had and trying the same solutions. So far the same day of taking everthing apart and cleaning with contact cleaner and than re installing has not worked as of yet. I don't know if it is the motor or mcu board . at this point will have to call a teach to figure out what item is not working. Thanks if you have ant more advise I will wacth this blog Thanks Paul

An explanation of your error code can be found at the following link:

In a nut shell, usually one of the motor windings fails, causing the Drive Motor to not rotate at the correct rpm, or not at all. Or, the Motor Control Unit fails. Both are simple repairs and can be accomplished by the average do-it-yourselfer. If you wish to attempt this repair, let me know and I can give you the steps required to complete it.
These parts can be found at searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your model number and look under the "Pump and Motor Parts" heading on the next page. The MCU will be listed as item number 1 (part #8181693). The Drive Motor is listed as item number 16 (part #8182793). You can also try repairclinic.com, pcappliancerepair.com, and partsstore.com for comparative pricing. If you require further assistance, please let me know.
There are two problems with the F06 code ---- Control Unit may be bad or the motor try cleaning the connections first that posted above -- the motor costs around 186.00 and the control board costs around 206.00 at partspro.com------- a service tech will clean board first and charge for a motor -- be careful
I had this error and after taking the back panel off and checking all the connections I looked all over, looking for the obvious. The obvious is exactly what I found. One if the stabilizing arms was separated. After lifting and sliding the two half's together I plugged the machine in and ran it through a cycle. FIXED! There are 4 stabilizer arms under the drum that keep the drum balanced. Putting too many clothes in the drum can cause it to go off balance while spinning causing the drum to bounce around like crazy. Hope this helps. 15 minutes and zero $ spent on repairs.
FORGET THE MOTOR ! 99% OF THE TIME THE PROBLEM IS THE M.C.U NOT SENDING THE PROPER R.P.M TO THE MAIN CONTROL BOARD.
I've been having the same problem with my Duet Washer. I first unplugged and replugged all the connectors back in. That worked for a couple of loads then the F06 Code came back. So I figure if I replace the Motor it would do the trick...not so much! Then I thought I'd order the wire harness from the Motor to the MCU and replace it...aaaaaand NO LUCK still F06 COde. Now I'm left with replacing the MCU. I'll order it this week and see what happens. Stay tuned...
did it fix the problem? I'm experiencing the same problem here. I'll probably go MCU first.

Greetings to All Users. Yesterday I found this problem in the washer Whirlpool Duet ht , a friend. call me commenting your washer lit , lit but turned and scored the F06 fault . I started to check the motor and MCU and CCU check voltages and all well and yet gave me the fault. Making suggestibility had begun to fail as I found it : the voltage at the contact line is 132VAC and the area followed the voltage down to 100VAC having very high fluctuation and contstantes blackouts. There was a surge suppressor regulatory aside unused washer and the washer was connected to the outlet dierectamente . Ask that to the regulator there? and they told me that there was connected and the machine was connected but derrepente washing machine was shut down and no longer turn on. removed the regulator and connected directly to the washer outlet where the voltage fluctuates a lot . empozo washer lit but not rotate. This is the problem ! ! take me to Repair the regulator which gives me constant 112VAC . connect it and connect the washer to the regulator and the Giro Washer Surprise It worked perfectly . here in the Country of Mexico voltage sciences quality is very poor these constant failures ocaciona appliances. Man I hope they
