SOURCE: System won?t recognize SATA drive

No, the size does not matter. When you state the motherboard does not see the SATA drive are you saying the bios does not list the SATA drive? You're 750GB drive is most likely SATA 2.0 / 3.00BG transfer rate.
The P4M800-M7 does support SATA but it does not support SATA 2.0. So what you need to do to get the drive to function at a lower speed. Set to run Ultra 100/133MHz. You'll need help to do this. Try this software for Seagate. It might work for Seagate.

I haven't the time to research Seagates site for simular software.
However you can look through Seagate. Again you want to lower the SATA drive speed to Ultra. The bios will than see the SATA & so will windows.

SOURCE: P4M800-M7

Hi jora, it is all based on what version you're motherboard is!

EliteGroup states the P4M800-M7 v3.1 does support the dual core CPU. (It does not mention this in the manual but does state this on their main web site for the motherboard P4M800-M7 (ver 3.1). (This link).
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?CategoryID=1&TypeID=32&DetailID=548&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=1&LanID=9

EliteGroup, supported CPU's for P4M800-M7 (ver 3.1)
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Support/CPU_Support_Model.aspx?detailid=548&MenuID=69&LanID=9

However, EliteGroup P4M800-M7 (ver1.0) does not support dual core CPU's. (This link)
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?CategoryID=1&TypeID=32&DetailID=531&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=1&LanID=9

Supported CPU's (v1.0) (This link).
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Support/CPU_Support_Model.aspx?detailid=531&MenuID=69&LanID=9

So you need to find the version number of you're board.

Good Luck!

I need vga driver of p4m800 pro-m7

Hello the homepage is here:

http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=94#dl

But the driver for win 7 is not there.
It will not help to download the xp driver
My advise is to buy a graphic card that supports win 7
The mainboard have an AGP 8X Slot for extenal graphic card

If you are in doubt adding a graphic card
let a expert do it for you.

Good luck

I dont have a software for my on board video card, can you please send me?

You can download the latest drivers from the ECS website. They have two versions of the board listed: P4M800-M7 (V1.0) and P4M800-M7 (V3.1). Click on the link for the one you have (the version is marked on the board) and you can download what you need.

Thanks for using Fixya! If this has helped you, please take a moment to give a thoughtful rating.

Sound driver

Your motherboard is a BIOSTAR right ?

Ok there are 2 versions I will post the drivers for those 2 versions.

P4M800-M7A v1.0
http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en%2Dus/mb/driver.php?S_ID=92

These are the complete drivers, the sound driver is there too under onboard audio.

P4M800-M7A v7.0
http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en%2Dus/mb/driver.php?S_ID=93

From what I can see they both use the same drivers.

I hope this helps.

The elitegroup website has a similar name but no A at the end
P4M800-M7
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Downloads/ProductsDetail_Download.aspx?detailid=531&DetailName=Driver&DetailDesc=&CategoryID=1&MenuID=6&LanID=0

So from your model I would say it is a biostar, get it from the links above, if it is an elitegroup (ECS) get it from the last link.

Here is the link :
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en-us/mb/driver.php?S_ID=91

Select the one that says "On board Audio". There are two options: one for WIN Vista and the other for Win XP/2000, etc

Cheers,
