Get it serviced the think is the heating coil may have got burnt out if you need to replace it remove the cover below and take out the coil carefully with the terminals ..now replace the coil of same wattage usually 700watts in the same way
there can also be a problem with some wire got burnt due to heating .try to find the wire located near/attached with the heating coil and check whether everything is correct

My kettle keeps blowing the circuit

If the fuse in the mains plug or MCB at the consumer unit / fuse box keeps tripping then there probably is a fault in the kettle element or switch. If the RCD is tripping (the safety device with the test button on it) then there is an electrical leak either due to a crack in the element or water has got into the wiring, switch or power cord of the kettle.
Allow the kettle to dry out in a warm place for a day. Also check it at another power outlet to eliminate any problem with the outlet you are using.

My delonghi cordless stopped working yesterday after using it for just under a year. The plug is sealed and has not been easy to check to ascertain if it is the fuse gone on it.

I'll assume that you mean a uk 3 pin plug. You can access the fuse by levering off a small plastic cover with a flathead screwdriver. Replace with another known good 13A fuse or test it (either with a continuity tester or in another appliance).

How do I change or check the fuse on a moulded plug

On the pin side of the plug there is a plastic cover which you lever out, and the fuse usually comes out with it. If you don't have a test meter to check the fuse then either Take a known working fuse from a working appliance and put that in the plug or take the fuse from the plug and put that in a known working appliance oplug and see if it works. In my experience it is rarely the fuse and more likely to be a connection in the kettle base or the thermal cutout in the kettle has fused.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

It blew my fuse box, i have changed the fuse the light comes on but it is not heating up approx 5 years old

This happened to my Alessi kettle also. I changed the fuse in the plug but the kettle is dead! Red lights are on but the heating element in gone. From what i can gather parts are not available to fix it.

Breville kettle blew fuse (trip switch) now won't switch on

If the 'neon' light is on, the power is getting to the kettle, so if its not heating up then the element must have broken.

This kettle has a little white trip switch inside the 'socket' of the kettle (not the base unit). If its not heating, light is not on and the plug fuse is OK, then poke the white trip until it clicks.

Plug amp

Yes it should be safe to use a 13 amp fuse.

The convention with fuses is up to 720 watts a 3 amp fuse should be used and above 720 watts a 13 amp fuse should be used.

To be precise you need to know the exact wattage of the kettle.
Sometimes maufacturers will fit 5 amp fuses but these are only good for a power rating of 1200 watts maximum (at 240 volts).

So as your kettle is rated at more than 1200 watts it needs a 13 amp fuse.

Hope this is a FixYa.

Red light's on... but no hot water!

OK, inside the unit there are three items, the heating element, thermostat, and thermal fuse. What has happened is the element got too hot and the thermal fuse opened. There is no reset button. In some cases you may run across a defective heating element or thermostat but its not common. The fix would probably be replacement of the thermostat and thermal fuse. For this, you would have to contact a small appliance repair center in your area.
