SOURCE: 42'' LG Plasma bought in Australia doesn't work in UK?

Find out if Australia uses a different standard of HD programming than Guernsey or not since it's not picking up any channels at all with an attenna. Does the skybox use only scart connections and that's how your small lcd is connected to it?

SOURCE: I have LG 50PC1DR plasma

Without testing I wouldn't suggest the Power supply is not defective: 1st, the control module is working because you gave it an ON command, 2nd the SMPS has received the the start up. The secondary voltages for the Y sustain and Z sustain modules are shutting down, probably due to a shorted IPM on either of the two modules mentioned. This problem is one you should contact your nearest svc center for a complete diagnosis. If I can be of any other assistance please e-mail me.

Hunter Douglas fan humming noise

Which make/model do you have. If you bought a store brand ( Home Depot or Lowes ) it's a low-end Hunter. All you can do is take it back & get a new one and hope it's better. You can also try a fan control and see if that helps. Remember, you get what you pay for!

Whirlpool gas dryer takes longer to dry though it heats up and turns, yet it has a humming/buzzing noise. What could be the problem?

Had the same problem. There was a bit of a kink in the vent duct which caused lint to build up in duct and also inside the dryer itself over years. I replaced the duct and took dryer apart and cleaned out the air passages. It works great now. As for the humming, mine started about 2 1/2 years ago and I still don't know why.

Yamaha rx-v371 shuts off 2 secs after turning on

Return unit to place of purchase, this is clearly a manufacture defect. The warranty will cover full replacement, do not allow them to attempt repair on the current item because you will be back and forth until warranty runs out.

I have an LG model 50PC1DR that is approximately 2 yers old. when i try to turn it on, i can hear it "hum" momentarily as the light flashes like it's trying to turn on. i can see just for a second on the...

i'm having exactly same problem. Not only I also other people have same issue. I dropped this heavy TV to the certified LG repair centre and the esimation cost for repair is $500.00 CDN. We decided to pick it up without the repair even we paid $100.00 just for the inspection.

My TV was working but no power at all now.
The repair centre says it's defact part so they are not responsible.
LG should recall this model.

Hi i bought LG plasma model no RT-42PX11 2 years

G'Day!

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty, this will cost you nothing. If you're not under warranty the cost will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor. However, be warned that the cost could be considerably higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

REFRIGERATOR IS MAKING A BUZZING SOUND, not cooling

You have one of two problems going on. Your fan is spinning at hitting the sides. Or your compressor is shot which seems to be more the problem and even though it is cold the humming sound is a warning for you that the compressor is shot and it is more affordable to replace the fridge then the compressor. Sometimes compressor can cost more then the fridge.

Tv turns it self off after only 2-3 seconds and makes crack noise

Since the set is less than 1 year old, it should still be under warranty. Request warranty service.

The noise you are hearing is probably arcing inside the set on the power supply board. Continuing to attempt to turn on the set will only make things worse. Please request warranty service as this is unusual for a TV that new.
