No pc recognizes the V-touch 8gb mp3 player by Visual Land

Windows xp, Vista, and Windows7 should already have a driver included for the v-touch. It's possible that if your computer has a compact flash card reader, that it maybe preventing the v-touch driver from being correctly installed. Try using the "Safely remove Hardware" to temporarily remove your cf card reader. Then try plugging in your v-touch. It should now correctly install the driver and the v-touch will show up as a new drive. In Windows Device Manager under "Disk Drives" you should see 2 new devices - "Company PNP Platform OPN USB Device" and "Company PNP Platform SDC USB Device

Rio carbon

Try taking out the hard drive and see if your pc recognizes it. If not then try flattening it (could take some time!) and recharging it multiple times.
If you can get it to recognize it then try replacing the hard drive with another or a CF card (see: REPLACE BROKEN HARD DRIVE IN RIO CARBON...)
If it does not recognize then I'm afraid there is probably something else wrong with it that probably involves the main circuitry and I can't help you with that.

Card error or camera error?

I am having the same issue with every CF card I put in the camera. But when I put the CF cards in other card readers, the pictures are able to be viewed. Not sure why the camera isn't recognizing the pics on the cards???

CF Error

I had the same symptoms. I took it to an authorized Canon repair shop. For $150, they resoldered connections on my 'power supply board'.  No idea why the solder gave out. It's working great now.

My CompactFlash card is no longer recognized by my computer (Sony Vaio notebook w/Windows XP home edition)

It isn't clear from your description, but are you inserting the reader into your USB port, and *then* inserting the CF into the reader? If so, try reversing this -- insert the CF into the reader, then insert the reader (with the CF) into a USB port. It is possible that your PC is only looking at the reader once (when it is inserted) and not finding a CF, then ignoring the CF once you insert it. If your camera can read and write to the CF, then it is unlikely that the CF is damaged. Since you have determined that the reader is ok, and since your PC recognises the reader, it is unlikely that it is a USB driver problem. Similarly, it is unlikely that it is a physical problem with the USB port, or the pins in the reader or the CF card.

CF for Jornada 525

The only advice that I could offer is to try those 2 Compact Flash cards on someone elses PocketPC. If they don't work then there must be something wrong with the cards. However, if they both work then there must be a problem with the CF slot on your Jornada. Try to test out some CF cards from an electronic store if they will let you. Yes, you do not need drivers for CF cards. A preferred CF list? Whomever told you this is blowing you off. People use all brands of CF cards from Viking, Scandisk, Lexar, Mr. Flash, etc. Sometimes there is a bad card and other times the CF slot is bad so check both of those out...

E125 MP3 Player

You need to have your music files in a "My Documents" folder on your CFC. If they are anywhere else, the media player will not see them.
